$650 in a basketball game.  I'm pissed  I scored 272 point in fantasy baseball  Tuesday the highest score on all of fandual and I only played that lineup in a small $1 game won $30. That only happens every couple of years and I wasted it on a poo game.

thats whats up lol most i have won is a 1000 but i was winning 100k after the 1pm games

i scored 199 and some change last year when david johnson went off for 42 points one week

that lineup was in a free game where i was testing out a lineup generator i was playing with.  woo hoo.

When I scored 272 points I picked that team myself . I do use a generator for half of my lineups but that doesn't guarantee poo.  I have won a total of 4k  on FD  I lost about  $3500. I play mostly tournaments but I win most of my playing money on small games 100-300 players. I also play single entry games  it evens the playing field.  I usually only play $1-3 games only.

i'm just now starting to get into the actual research/analytics side of it so i'm still new to a lot of the concepts.  i take whatever the lineup generator spits out, enter it in the slates/contests i want, and then throughout the week make all the swaps based on the matchups i'm interested in, whatever stacks i like, a few contrarian plays that people like on DFS forums, etc.

i usually do the small money single entry contests with 100 or fewer entrants too.  the few times i played for money last year i learned quickly that the big tournaments with the major cash prizes only pay off for the sharks who can hammer them with tons of lineups.  while i'm experimenting with the tools i'm keeping it at about $25/week usually all in $1 or $2 contests.  i made $75 off $25 worth of deposits in week one but only broke even last week.  i took the cheese big time on the saints/giants "shootout" that never happened, had bortles in several lineups, and only had cam/KB/olsen stacked in one or two of my lineups.

Yeah you do have to spread it around.  Use some investment reasoning.

Stop loss or stop limit orders mindset to manage your bankroll.

Then use breakout limits etc to understand low floor high ceilings approach.

For me i try not to overthink but I'm amazed at the data that is out there but i truly believe it's all about twitter and local beat writers.  That's where you get nuggets that don't show up on a spreadsheet.  Touches and if a player looks healthy or the scuttlebutt on how is doing in a scheme or with the coaches.

    • I mean I just don't understand the argument. Baker and Sam both have been pro bowl QBs post their time here. And you just said yourself that is due to him having a damn good roster around him and they are well coached. You're even saying the bad baker is still there somewhere, but he is in a good organization with good roster and coaching that they are getting the best out of him. Why does Baker and Sam get all that benefit of the doubt but when it comes to Bryce it must be a BY9 problem, not an org or team problem?  Hell I got a guy below you arguing with me that Chark/Hurst/Mingo sucked because Bryce wouldn't throw them open. It's ridiculous how far the stretch goes.
    • Correct.  It’s really hard to get open in the NFL when opposing defenses gameplan and cheat coverage/routes on all your players because they know your QB can’t make certain throws/plays.   magically no one that comes to Carolina can get open or make plays with the ball in their hands…..it’s like there is one singular common dominator to it all.  BY makes playing defense way too easy.   NFL players are too good to allow one side to cheat coverage and not respect all the potential threats of a route  so you can dial up a great play.  But if corners and safeties just cheat coverage and know X and Y happening on route/threats….getting open gets hard when they just play it one way.  Getting open has a lot to do with the different threats a WR can pose on a given play.
    • Kinda depends how you look at it both were 3rd round draft pics.  Nico was nothing before stroud and tank came in with stroud.  If both were on the panthers would young have them doing well and starting or would their stats be low.  I really dont know the answer to that.  None of the panthers wrs have left and did well either but personally i feel neither of nico or tank would do much on the panthers.
