Nah it's obvious to anyone with a brain that we have the players to win.  With the salary cap and the risk-averse nature of owners, GMs will never have the financial resources they need to collect tons of players.  It's on the coaches to make up the deficit.

tbh...the Panthers are one of the most loaded teams I've seen since the salary cap, even with some of the loses we have had. But at times it seems to be coaching holding us back more than talent.

This may be dumb, but why wouldn't we check out of the long passes at the LOS if we see dbs giving a 7 yard cushion? Are we back to not letting cam audible?

Or maybe Cam should have audibilized and he didn't. Why always assume he isn't allowed to run the offense. He can miss things and screw up as well.

I just want to see some in game adjustments. Is that too much to ask? You can't do the same thing all game and expect to win anymore.

The biggest adjustments are designed to happen at the line of scrimmage after Cam surveys the defense. That is called in-play adjustments and the kind of things Brady, Rodgers and other guys do all day. It was also the thing Cam did all last year. You think Shula told him to stop doing what worked all of last year?

And please stop with he had no time against Minnesota. I actually watched the Clock when we were on offense and we were often up to the line with 8 or 9 seconds tp spare which on a 25 second clock is plenty of time. Most hot reads are a hand signal or a nod or look, not a complete alignment adjustment.

I gotta say, they seem to be real good at hanging on for dear life down the stretch.

For real though, they even suck at calling games with big leads.  Some guy here was trying to convince me these flat 2nd half should all be laid on the players and them not being "focused".  I'm like for fugs sake.  They are monsters possessed coming out in games.  What exactly changes from a focus standpoint sitting in the locker-room at halftime for a few minutes of a 10-8 game?  I might follow that line of thought if bad 2nd halves were an uncommon occurrence.  When they consistently happen there is a problem with the strategy and tactics these coaches are implementing in game.  If anything the players seem more focused.  I don't really remember as many bad penalties coming in the 2nd half, but that could just be me.

A load of bull. In the second half against Minnesota everyone including the announcers said we came out flat. I saw Kuechly who is usually fired up let a tight end catch 2 passes in a row for a first down while he stood passively and let the guy come out and catch it in front of him only to smack his hands in frustration as if that mattered. That is not coaching, that is poor execution. Even against San Fran you could see poor effort and lack of focus until they got within 7 and only then did the players pick up the intensity. If this were high school then count on coaches to have to motivate them but these are pros who do this for a living. No one has to jump on me to do my job. I am a professional who takes my job seriously.

you talking about the same brady team that has them sitting pretty at 3-0 and flat out dominating a 2-0 team with a rookie QB this past week?  he's a hell of a qb, but the coaching up there is clearly in a league of its own.  we could only be so lucky to have a guy calling plays on mcdaniels' level.

Yeah you can't use Brady as your only example but you get the point, Cam made those adjustments last year. He doesn't seem to this year. It is more than just coaching that needs help. The whole team seems to be struggling  and that is on both sides of the ball.

Why don't we use more back shoulder throws given the speed on the team. Do you think Cam can throw it well since it is almost always an outside pass and Cam seems to throw better down the middle and when he can allow the runner to run under the ball. Not a criticism just knowing that every quarterback has throws he is better at making. Like Rodgers is great at that back shoulder throw.

Is there a reason why half this board ignores the fact that the mic in Cam's helmet turns off at 15 on the play clock? I'm tired of reading the play call isn't getting in until late, that's a rule that I know has been mentioned before. How about not heaping 100% of blame and 0% of credit on our offensive coordinator?
