Cam is not healthy

We haven't seen Cam play this poorly since 2014... when he was hurt. I don't think Cam has looked 100% since at least the first half of the Denver game.

We have a Monday night game coming up against Tampa. It may be wise of us to give Cam the week to rest and get healthy. DA is more than capable of beating Tampa, he's done it twice.  That will give Cam two weeks to get healthy for the Saints game, where he'll need to be sharp.

I think he's been playing with an undiagnosed concussion, and I fear he may have a stinger or some sort of nerve issue with his shoulder/throwing arm.

It's pretty obvious his decision-making and physicality are both impaired. He's being asked to do too much.

2015 CAM WAS LIKE A DREAM THIS LOOKS LIKE A WORSE 2014 ALL OVER AGAIN. ITS UP TO THE OLINE AND HIM . WHEN CAMS HAPPY HES THE MVP WHEN HES POUTING AND NEGATIVE HE SUCKS . SIMPLE AS THAT . HE NEEDS HIS SWAG BACK

Not sure where he's pulling that swag from if he can't stay healthy.

Cam had a very good game against 49ers, and was dominate coming out against Vikes. I dont think he was concussed against Broncos. I do think his left leg is bothering him. Since that injury against Vikes, he's not moving well and his mechanics is off. He's not planting it

I think he's fine, just in a rut. Today's concussion  didn't look that bad, compared with Luke's last year.

He's playing fine... but that's not what he is. He's the best quarterback in the league. Even if I didn't personally believe players should sit for at least one week after a concussion, he needs time to rest.

The problem is he's not trusting his line. And we are constantly in 3rd and long.

His line isn't playing that badly. The issue is he's holding the ball too long. He's Ignoring check downs that could get big chunks in hope of a big play. He's being relied on to run way too much. Derek Anderson gave us a spark because he was throwing quick, sharp passes. Cam did that last year and isn't now.

No doubt Shula is asking too much in the run dept. Cam is not healthy or this never happens.

His decision making is off. He missed that read-option where Tolbert could have gotten a first. He was overthrowing guys, waiting too long on slant routes. He's just not playing as sharp as he ever has.

Can Seahawks and Panthers fans stop with this utter nonsense? You do not sit franchise QBs (one of which just won the damn MVP) unless they truly cannot go.

Crazy thing is that the Lions, Dolphins, and Bears fanbase would absolutely ban you for saying the same thing and their QBs who are not even half of what Wilson or Newton is.

It's not a benching. It's not even sitting. It's giving a man time to recover from an injury. That's standard procedure and applies to anyone, including quarterbacks.

I'm not on the hate Cam bandwagon or the Anderson bandwagon. Cam is the best quarterback in the league. But something is off. If we're going to demand Cam do everything, he needs to be healthy.

Cam is fine. Mentally he isnt. That oline has to give him time. He has got beat up the first 3 games. He is frustrated. He was fine when they scored on defense out there celebrating. He was fine first series doing his iconic first down. He may have a couple dinks that is average for football players. But nothing that is effecting how he plays. Its he dont trust the oline to give him time. He got rid of the ball earlier today because the oline cant hold up. The result, bad feet mechanics, overthrowing less time in the pocket. Last year he had 5 secs to get rid of it. This year 3secs. Put the blame on the oline. It really has nothing to do with Cam its just he is taking the heat for a bad oline.

    • We had a QB who could do that and its the last time we went to the Super Bowl and the only time we had an MVP. Once he lost his ability to do that he was out of the league. To filter out insignificant stats I will only look at QBs who have played in 10 or more games this year. There are 28 qualifying QBs. Bryce is 25th in Air Yards per Attempt at 6.4. Only Joe Flacco, Cam Ward, and Dillon Gabriel are worse (6.0, 5.8, 5.1). Trevor Lawrence, Patrick Mahomes, and CJ Stroud are the median QBs at 7.1. Drake Maye and Sam Darnold lead the league at 8.7. Bryce is 18th in the league for passes that travel 30+ yards at 12. The median is Caleb Williams at 15. The league leader is Matthew Stafford with 26. With passes that travel 40+ yards, Bryce is tied with three others at 21st in the league with 3. Only Jacoby Brissett, Cam Ward, Joe Flacco, and Dillon Gabriel are worse. The median is a three-way tie with Drake Maye, Trevor Lawrence, and Baker Mayfield with 6. The league leader is Sam Darnold with 12. Having the ability to complete passes down the field (not YAC) stretches the defense and makes them account for more ground. It keeps players out of the box and keeps formations in nickel or dime, less line backers for your RBs to worry about. Bryce is why we have 2 losses against the Saints. If he had the outright ability to sling the football down field we beat the easily, but he doesn't. So they crowded the box and our 2 starting caliber RBs with our top ~10 Oline couldn't carry the offense to a win on their own. The limitations of the offense fall squarely on Bryce.
    • Bryce’s deep passes are intermediate passes for other strong armed QBs. I will say that Bryce’s accuracy on his deep passes have improved. Before they would just sail out of bounds. Now the WR actually has a fighting chance on the ball.
