This is what pisses me off. I bet we'll go defense in the first this draft, as well. We've been trying to have a dominant Denver or Seattle defense for some time now, and just can't get there. Time to go all in on offense and just build a middle of the pack defense. Offense has proven they can be #1 in the league.

Cam Newton is the Allen Iverson of the NFL.

Was drafted number 1 as the savior to the city. Tried to do it his way with his own style, until the league shut it down. Almost got 1 championship with one special year, but just didn't finish. The GM's just expected them to do it all by themselves, just didn't build a consistent strong team around him

I just hope Cam is healthy enough to play and maybe become a HOF like A.I

He was even healthy in second half of game against Denver, got sacked a record number of times against Vikings, and for people complaining about his release... he's actually getting the ball out faster than he ever has in his career according to people who track that crap.  Basically the dude has played like 3 healthy games and is putting up better numbers than 2015.

And this head coach can't think of anything to say except for "opportunities" and "I would have take a shot too".

If I'm a player, Ron's comments would piss me off. I know Cam loves the city and he loves the sport and loves the team, but I can only imagine HE feels under appreciated and not valued. It's only so much he (and Luke) can do. Yet the first time something goes wrong or we're losing, the media and even fans find a way to make it Cam's fault.

I'm not a fan of how things are going right now don't get me wrong but out of all the Gettleman drafts with the Panthers he has drafted 11 defensive players and 10 offensive players. The only one of note in my opinion is Shaq on the defensive side

Well we'll never know I guess, but I give the benefit of the doubt to the OC who has averaged thirty points a game over 1.5 seasons.   And now he's doing it with worse a worse offensive line and much fewer defensive turnovers

Maybe he should try and copy all the OC's orchestrating 40 points a game offenses.

Cam will be a HOF, I have faith in that. I don't want to see him become a journeyman towards the end like AI did though. I agree with that comparison. Spot on.

      An odd little vibe I've noticed here of late: some folks are "all or nothing" to an absolutely extreme level when it comes to Bryce. There are, in fact, things Bryce does well. Likewise, there are areas in which he's improved over his time here. He has, on several occasions now, legitimately helped us win games. On the flipside, there have been failures in other areas as well as coaching that we're not in any way his fault.  And finally , it is also genuinely possible that the team may see him as the future, even if we don't. The craziest part, though? It's actually possible that they're right and we're wrong. All of this is true, and more, yet if you accept any of these premises people go from zero to apesh-t in under three seconds 😳 Anything less than total disavowal of Bryce and / or agreement that he's the worst QB of all time and suddenly you're a "stan". Oy 🙄 The reality though?  Bryce is indeed an NFL quarterback. Not a great one, probably backup level good, and I've seen way worse. Now, if you run that statement through your personal Google translator and it comes back with some version of "I want to throw 50 million a year at Bryce for the next 10 years", that's not really my issue it's yours  I don't wanna make him the franchise quarterback, but it's not my call. Win or lose, the team is going to do what they think is best. And as always, if it disagrees with what I think we should do, I'm gonna hope I'm the one who's wrong. Internet clout means nothing. Watching my favorite team win at my favorite sport meas fun 😁

      I like Icky but he was the wrong tackle to take. Learning run blocking is much easier than learning pass blocking. Cross was pass pro ready. He was the tackle we should have taken without hesitation.
