You know if Bill Belichick extend a certain position it must be mighty important to winning.

Ok did you not see New England offensive line last year and against Denver in the playoffs? Von miller and Ware had their way with those OT. Cannon was an average OT last year and improved in his 6th season as a OT. Finding good OT that fit your system and is consistently good year in and year out is hard.During this off season it won't get any better the OT free agents and Draft prospect are not good and some good OT just returned to school, The best thing we can do is get a stop gap OT like Matt Kahlil and draft a developmental OT on day 2 of the draft.

First off, that was the NFC Divisional for Seattle, not Championship

Already proving to be a 14 year old bandwagon.

Oher and Remmers lead a team that went 15-1 last season, with a good season record the year prior.

Von Miller is an elite pass rusher, going against a tackle on his own. NO tackle would be able to be perfect against Miller without some sort of help.

And if you really think o-line alone lead to those loses, then you obviously never watched the Panthers prior to the 2015 run.

You should rethink your stance as well, as in 2014 it was Bell and Remmers.  Thus, you both were wrong.

Oher was just extended to be the stopgap (same for Coleman and Kalil at there respective positions) while developing an OT that likely had to be drafted this offseason.  Unfortunately that plan may have just gone by the wayside in Week 3 with his very serious concussion.  Depending on his health a stopgap may be needed again.  I'd say just draft a LT and plug him in, which could be the case with us likely in position to, but this is a terrible draft for OTs.  You never know though, plenty of examples of finding the one gem in a terrible position class (Gross and Olsen come to mind).

So, 3 draft picks given up for him, when you could've kept those, and likely have picked Brandon Albert in the 13th, and a quality rb in the second (such as Jamaal Charles, Ray Allen)

Sure, I love me some Stewart, but gotta think value in drafts.

Yes it was woth it but nobody expected him to get injured like any player you draft. Its not like we gave up draft picks  on. Last year OL look better than it apperead due to J-Stews running , and the type of Defense we run needs a strong running game to go with it.

Devin, Daryl, & 3 CBs etc. If you want top tie talent your gonna have to give up something.

Oher extension, anyone?

I faintly remember a 15-1 team with a healthy o-line in the top 5.

In fact, one main argument before the superbowl was how we had a superior oline, Cam was being protected, and how the Broncos had no way of breaking that.

Of course, Von Miller has something to say to teams like that, and our offensive scheming played right into that defense's hands, like every other team that went against that vaunted defense.

But the season opener was a different story.

In fact, that "vaunted defense" was held out to barely anything; Miller was an afterthought until the fourth quarter, and cheap shots were really the issue that game.

Strangely enough, we started to slightly regress when Oher was out against the vikings week 3, and injuries piled on and on, leading to the terrible oline we see today.

So, is our starting oline, heck even with Remmers, that bad?

With Williams  great play, imagine him and Oher both starting. Would we still have a top 5 oline?

if we had a superior OL in 2015 why did we lead the NFL in max protection in order to help our OL get plays off?

it is the equivalent of claiming you have a great CB and then literally roll coverage and help his way all game.....and then ignoring the fact you have to help all game to prevent him from getting burnt.

    • I'm on record as saying Bryce has a looooonnnngg way to go to even be in Cam's shadow.  Cam was a phenom.  I'm not comparing Bryce to Cam or even holding him to an expectation of what a #1 overall pick should be.   Doesn't matter where you're drafted.  Could care less.  Sometimes you get Cam with the first pick and sometimes you get Trey Lance.  Tom Brady or Brock Purdy.  All I care about is they are on the team now and part of the plan and the process.  All I care about is if we end up with a good NFL QB who'll allow us to compete for chips.  Bryce's journey isn't Cams.  Very, very few are.   If it makes you feel better, pretend we drafted Bryce in the 7th round.
    • I don’t know what to tell yall,  literally a NFL QB in slow motion breaks down where the ball should have gone and when…and the difference it provides Renfrow on that play.  It’s two different worlds for the WR.   Oh, and it’s probably then a completion of course
    • The question was if you were Morgan what would you do with the team since Bryce is a bust.  I don't agree at all he is and I certainly don't blame the fans for his play. Fans being short sighted and dumb is totally separate from the question posed and in no way did I say or indicate that my fault of any coaching or on field play is the fault of said fans. My answer is I would Keep Pounding and methodically building.  If Bryce turns out to be a bust, then yes, horrible mistake.  The trade capital makes it even worse.  Just because we traded up for Bryce doesn't change anything now.  We begged for a methodical build and now we are doing it.  Right now.  And all it took was one bad game after all the progress last year for you to fold. If the Jags game is just another dip in the Bryce/Canales stock on the way up then the plan is still working. Canales, Morgan and company are one year in.  Building methodically.  Improving overall.  One bad game doesn't prove me right or you wrong.  And Bryce's play, which was bad, in that game isn't the last straw saying, yep, now there's is zero chance.  Let's cut him, maybe fire the coach, look for a new GM and start all over again.
