Cam's everything should be sore.

Ted is right about Josh. A big part of Josh's game is the mental aspect. Once you engage, it's over. I also don't understand the Josh hate lmao.

Looking forward to a good game Monday night.

People hate Josh because he's acting like a real divatistic dicknozzle much like Odell Beckham Jr. I wouldn't even put Josh on a pedestal yet as he has much to prove compard to a guy like Revis. Revis kept his mouth shut, did his job, and did it more efficiently than Norman. Revis was one of the only guys that went toe to toe, snap for snap, one on one with a younger Steve Smith. Who would you take in a 1v1 battle? A younger Smitty against Norman now. I'd take Smitty all day, he'd destroy Josh if it were both in their primes. Norman is still good though, just not like the great poo worship this board gives him.

Say what you will but Norman won that exchange. He is the highest paid cb in the league and going to the playoffs.

Instead of being on this sorry excuse for a team Gettleman put together.

If money was priority 1 then he sure wasn't stabbed in the back, because he wasn't getting that money in Carolina and that fact was made clear. If playing in Carolina was priority 1, then he didn't win and is being quite disingenuous with his comments since he could have signed the tender and negotiated in better faith. The firing of the agent says it all.

Does money grow on trees? Do you always want to make more money if you can? Why people on here are so stuck on Josh trying to get more money out of a situation which he is allowed to do is so hard to understand...I guess people don't want to say how they really feel..Saying you don't  understand why Josh feels like he was stabbed in the back ..he got paid is foolish.. Who does notwant money ..who on here turns down a raise.. Just say you glad he is gone did not like his character and be done..stop trying to act like getting money is breaking the law and foreign to you and if it is  and you have a job I will be happy to accept all of your paychecks and spend the hell out of your hard earn money.

So what people play the game different..does not mean Revis did not talk smack just means you did not hear it much...Some people really hate diversity..But guess what it is people doing things different that has made  the light bulb, automobiles, television...the list goes on and on...Change is enivitable.

Why is it that Dave rescinded the tag couldn't he just left it there and drafted bradberry still...The money thing is not even the point...Dave should not have tagged him if he did not plan to negociate...Dave was being a smart ass..thats all and it has blew up in his face..Josh was tagged so playing here he knew he would be. it was whether it would be for 14mill or more that was the case...

The tag and Bradberry are not mutually exclusive and have no bearing on this conversation. While DG's style and offer may not be to the liking of many around here (and arguably rightly so), Josh's 180-degree mad scramble to try to sign the tag after it was pulled makes it clear that his side were the ones not negotiating in good faith.

Again, this is not to say that the situation was handled perfectly by DG.

I agree to disagree. It is a judgement call, but I can not blame Josh for wanting money and doing what he has the options to do while being tagged...What was DG thinking when he did it..This player was almost undrafted and had not made any real money..do you think he was not going to want money for what he had done.. In football contracts are not guaranteed you get hurt thats it..I don't blame Josh at all. DG should have handle it better and this is the 2nd time that something has been handled poorly.

I don't disagree at all with Josh choosing to get as much as he can - not sure where you're pulling that from, as my comments have nothing to do with Josh and his pursuit of pay. That's his prerogative and I'm happy that his hard work has paid off. I disagree with your premise that Gettleman somehow "stabbed him in the back", which is patently untrue without some kind of proof that Gettleman reneged on promises.

Pulling the tag is a drastic and questionable move that many don't gree with but not necessarily one that indicates poor handling of the negotiation on his part. Smitty was definitely a Gettleman screw-up, but the Norman situation is far from the same.

The Panthers used franchise tags on Gross, Peppers, Kalil, and Hardy.

With the exception of Hardy, guess what? Virtually every one of those players waited as long as they possibly could to sign the tag while negotiating a long term contract. Guess which center has the biggest cap hit in the NFL this year?

How many teams have tagged a player and then pull the tag? Not many that is why he feels stabbed in the back.. their was no warning and not many teams have done this to a player when trying to negociate..clearly out the blue..I said this about the money bc many state he should have signed the tag and negociated in good faith, but how many players have actually done that..why couldn't Dave just left the tag and negociated in good faith..this is what players play for ..the play well to get paid well...

No one knows that there was "no warning" and there is no actual proof that there was "no warning" . Also, no one is saying that signing the tag is the only way to negotiate in good faith, or at least I'm not, since they had until July to actually reach an agreement - you're really jumping to some conclusions. The point is that is Josh so desperately wanted to be in Carolina and was so willing to sign the tag, then he very well could have done it at any time before it was pulled and continue negotiating at that time. And the answer is that many players sign the tag and continue with negotiation after because the tag does not preclude/supersede and agreement that the team and player reach after its signature.

This is nothing but speculation on my part, but I'm inclined to believe that Gettleman made it clear that the tag could be pulled because why wouldn't he? What does he gain by suddenly and unexpectedly pulling the tag? The answer is that he gains nothing. Based on the immediate firing of Josh's agent following the tag pull, I'm also inclined to believe that Josh received dumbass advice from his dumbass agent and chose to test the limit, assuming that Josh's agent had even communicated what was happening during negotiatons. Again, though, this is nothing but speculation on my part.
