Meh. Mocks are mocks. Largely a waste of time, and hardly worth a brouhaha.

Lance Zierlein at NFL.com mocked us Cam Robinson. Now you tell me what's OBVIOUSLY wrong with this picture:

Cam Robinson - OT, Alabama: Robinson at No. 8 would be way too early for my taste, but he has tremendous size and power as a run blocker, and the Panthers might feel they have to reach a bit to find help for Cam Newton.

Yeah, but that position makes sense, because Robinson would be at a need (even though he isn't that good or worthy of the 8th pick).  Now a CB?  When we Drafted three last year?  That's just horrible dude.

Not if he's deemed the BPA. You, yourself, have derided Worley as a bust of sorts, so another high quality CB should be welcome, right?

Should be welcomed?  Maybe.  But, Drafting 3 CBs the prior year, I highly doubt another Rookie would make sense.  A Veteran at that position on the other hand?  Yes.

Or Barnett.

If Foster and Barnett are both on the board, I gotta go with Foster. Luke's noggin' insurance and will allow us to boost our talent rotation on the outside.

A quality DE can be had with pick #40, IMHO. But I wouldn't be mad if we ended up picking Barnett at 8. In this situation, I just think Foster is the bigger talent.

Zach Cunningham is going to be a stud LB in the NFL too. In a nightmare scenario for us where all of our guys are gone at 8, and we couldn't trade down, I would even consider Cunningham at 8. It wouldn't be a nightmare in that Cunningham could do the same things Foster will, but because there is a bit of dropoff between the two, and Cunningham could probably be had in the 15-25 pick range.

    • Two things: 1. Dr. Eric Eager is central to the draft process 2. I know that it was edited, but we didn't hear "Thieneman" one time, not even before the Vikings pick.
    • Why would he sign here as a guard when surely someone would sign him as a tackle?  Assuming he is healthy
    • Went back to watching the highlights. With a sober mind haha. Here is what I saw.    freddie needs to make 1 of those but the rest aren’t on him.    Slavin was BBBBAAAD again last night. Not sure what is going on with these game one Slavin gafs.    miller was ok but had his worst game in the playoffs so far.    nikishin was no good. His his awful turnover led to the first goal at the end of the first period that just can’t happen. ghost was beat like a drum multiple times last night, including the go-ahead goal at the end jarivs wont shoot. He is either hurt or he is struggling mentally and I think it could be a combination of both. He passed up a wide open net on the power-play only to pass it to no one and cleared it himself.     Svech played well. He is getting zero help on that line.    aho. Worst game as a pro. I mean that. He won’t shoot it, passes go to no one and turns it over repeatedly.  He did exactly what they did against Montreal game one when Miller had a turnover. Aho left his man to go help and left the golden Knight player wide open in front of Freddie.  If I was Rod, you Tell Aho when that thing hits your stick you fire it  someone needs to sit him down just him in a room and ask what’s going on. He seems soft, timid and has zero fire.   canes could have won that game   There isn’t a gap between these two teams  they are dead even   Carter Hart’s gonna get lit up in this series. We can beat that guy. the consensus last night was our defense played horrible and our stars won’t score.  clean the defense up. Tell the top line to shoot it everything and we’ll win tomorrow night.   Possibly convincingly.
