A lot of action happening. The big expensive names going fast. You know Gettleman will let the dust settle I mean you got guys who have been mediocre at best getting huge deals... Torrey Smith $5 mill a year.  Robert Woods 5 year 39 mill... Gettleman is waiting and gonna sign Victor Cruz who is more reliable than both.

Lets just R-E-L-A-X.

I agree with you, some serious coin thrown around on guys who are just OK. That's usually why the Jaguars and others stay where they are. Drafting well beats FA every day of the week. That said, hitting on some FAs like Oher and Coleman certainly helped us in 2015. I hope Kalil plays well. It really could be huge for this year, along with the health of the entire OL.

Agree.  We as fans get pissed off because we go off of a lot of emotion and don't get to see the behind the scenes other than what is "reported" or starts with "sources say."

Gettleman's free agency style does piss off a lot of people. But what we can count on, the dude has an eye for talent and knows what a dollar is worth.  fans freaking out over Ginn and Klein.  Ginn is a one trick pony with a high drop percentage and Klein is a good depth LB for us, probably a starter for them.  Can't knock a guy for signing somewhere where he can be a starter.

I do hope Kahlil pans out because it will be a great addition and help improve the line.

Gettleman isn't done guys. He is letting these mediocre teams spend a crap ton of money on OK players.  Only movements so far that pisses me off is the Patriots are somehow still getting better and making brilliant moves (it took a lot for me to type that)

    • Thielen was a "dawg" like Dan Morgan likes to say. And they replaced him with puppies.  The analytics are probably saying this is more targets for younger receivers they are hoping to develop, specifically the first round pick from 2025. The eye test is going to show a very inexperienced group of WRs that are going to have some serious growing pains, for a 3rd year QB who has not yet proven to be the guy going forward.  It's crazy how in the literal first game of his NFL career, Cam Newton showed everyone he was a star QB and there was never any doubt about that. It almost didn't even matter who was around him, although he definitely had a serious lack of talent at WR for most of his career. Bryce is going into his third season and there is still a ton of doubt, and who is around him is seen as crucial for him to have success. I don't like it.
    • Everyone says AT was old and slow but the one thing he could do consistently was get separation. That takes skill and it's been a huge issue in our WR for years. And while Moore may be a great locker room guy and our WR coach may be a 12 year vet, he's not playing in the game. Vets like AT do what they do because they can see things others don't and exploit it. The DB interview I mentioned before was with Stephon Gilmore after his DPOY season. He was pulling the younger DBs aside showing them things you wouldn't even think you'd be able to tell from the way the receiver was standing.  Seeing what a DB or LB is biting on in game that can give you that half step advantage is huge and we don't have that experience in our WR group right now and I think it could end up hurting us. None of our receivers have lined up against NFL corners successfully on a regular basis. Having someone that can walk over and give you a tip to get a half yard separation can be a difference maker.
    • We only fielded about 4 NFL calibre players on that unit last year.
