You only get 30 pre-draft visits. I hope we're not dumb enough to piss away visits solely for the purposes of a smokescreen. There should be at least some level of interest there.

Agreed but it could only be to confirm a concern by a coach.  Bring them in could actually remove them from our Draft Board.

Right, but those guys said every draft pick. Also, we always have coaches helping with events/scouting events so they "visit" with just about every draft pick. So does pretty much every other team. I just know that based on official visits, there are plenty of guys we've drafted that weren't on our lists or plenty of guys who were on our lists who we didn't. If you look at our visits, we tend to have the consensus guys around our pick, like Ogbah, Coleman, Henry, Boyd, Bell, Cravens, Ifedi, Lawson, Dodd, Spence, Shepard, Reed and Treadwell last year. Butler was one of many guys around that pick.

No, what I said was "Pretty sure we have worked out every player we have drafted in the first since Gettleman got here."

At no point did I say every draft pick.  Check your comprehension.

I think you're trying to split hairs. The fact is that drafting players you've met with is likely somewhat unique to Dave Gettleman, as I've seen about three different sites mention this as a characteristic under his era. Every GM doesn't do that.

If you want some clues as to who we will draft, this is something that I read last year. It talks about Gettleman's draft history.

    • I did not want to start or even think about *if* BY reverts back to pre-non last 9 games.   There is a lane in which Panthers are looking QB after this season, I feel its higher than most will realize. I mean....not kidding... has any team ever traded up to 1st overall twice in the teams history? I don't even want to think within 3 years, just foresee Tepper squeezing Dans and Brandts sacs to the point were they are forced to trade up for a another savior.....   The kicker is I feel this way with BY playing good-great..... I think there with be non-fixable problems for contract negotiations between BY&reps vs Panthers org on the whole. You can not pay 50+ million per over few years with 70% guarantees for 3,303 yards 15 TDs and 9 INTs......Cursed I tell you....
    • It's not surprising, but it's still surprising that many of these guys don't manage their money in such a way that provides them and their families a better lifestyle than most for the rest of their lives without even working a nine-to-five. I can't imagine making over a 100 mil for a decade and ultimately ruminating about supporting my family due to financial issues.
    • That why i mentioned the KC dynasty. Those three different playoff loses were not Allens fault, in fact 1-2 plays and Bills win. KC just have better players and better coaches and more luck.  Defense-wise, Bills have been trying to crack the Reid-Halhomes magic. Its near impossible with rules and KC home field advantage. Spags has started to force the league in naming him the best DC in NFL history. I agree if you take away Bill bielacheat.... Add in Andy Reid the best QB coach and brilliant play designer/play-caller, I mean that's too much for one QB to over-come on his own.  Just trolling or not, bad is bad scot. Allen is legit as any one QB has ever been.
