That definately sounds like a bend dont break defense to me. How about giving up NO yards!!! It like they are ok giving up yards and first down, just hoping a drive stalls off at the end to only give up a FG or get a turnover to prevent them from scoring.

Yeah he mentioned it after a caller asked him why opponents could just dink and dunk their way down the field. The caller also mentioned that our defensive backs play too far off the wide receivers and that teams could just throw short stuff all day on them and Beason responded with the bend but don't break answer.

The thing that seperates good defenses from great defenses is the "you won't get any yardage on us" mentality. Not seeing that at all from this bunch.

Thats the problem right there. Its Fox's bitch ass philosophy. We need someone with an attitude, who doesnt take any poo. We need someone who wants the other team to have negative yardage, and zero points....not this fuging bend but dont break pussy ass bullshit!

In another thread that has a link to Damaine Lewis he talked about it being a bend dont break defense also. That is the problem, and even though we all knew this as fans we never really heard the players saying it.

The defensive philosphy is definately the problem and it wont change as long as fox is here.
