Hard to pick a best or favorite, though a bourbon would probably be my choice. Maybe Blanton's but I love making old fashions so a Buffalo Trace or Four Roses will do.

Jamison is the "go to" because I almost never get told the bar doesn't have it.  The Irish pub next to the office does Tully shots with Smithwick's and that's the way to go.

 

I wont turn down a Micheal Collins either when I can find it.

Ill keep an eye peeled for the Redbreast.

You ever tried Jameson Caskmates?  It is Jameson that has aged in Guinness seasoned oak barrels.  Pretty tasty.

 

Also, the next time anyone makes an Old Fashioned (or any other Bourbon drink, for that matter) plop a smoked cherry in.  The flavor it adds is unreal.

Unfortunately, I dont think you can buy smoked cherries.  It's something I've just always made myself.
