Enjoyed this article, and yes, it would be fun to have another matchup against the Cards in the playoffs!

The Cardinals and Panthers are drafting for the future of football. They’re also on track to be two of the most fun teams in the league.

A quick recap: Arizona used its first-round pick to select Temple linebacker/pass rusher Haason Reddick, then grabbed Washington safety/corner Budda Baker in the second, while Carolina’s top two selections were Stanford running back/receiver/returner extraordinaire Christian McCaffrey and Ohio State hybrid receiver/running back Curtis Samuel. Collectively, these four picks are a great illustration of a simple truth: The NFL is a matchup league.

Running a more advanced college style, fun and gun type system, could be the future for a lot of teams.  Chip Kelly flamed out, but he may have just been too early. Get the players who a. have thrived in similar systems, and b. create mismatches with your "typical" NFL defenders and attack attack attack.

I mean, even imagine our no huddle/hurry up offense right now...Stew, McCaffrey, Fozzy, Samuel, Cam all capable of carrying the ball (in a variety or play designs).  Now we have a couple guys with speed to stretch the field, or work short crossing routes and YAC galore.  Meanwhile, KB and Funch will (hopefully) improve and be able to use their big frames to body smaller defenders.  Olsen is Olsen. Defenses will have to play a guessing game and pick their poison trying to stop this offense when it wants to put its foot on the gas. A LOT of possibilities and freedom for this offense...potentially.

After the SB50 debacle, i think the entire team and fanbase had this defeated aura about us. i sure felt it, especially as 2016 progressed (or regressed, depending on how you look at it). But with the moves we made this offseason, and now the players we're drafting, i am crazy excited for this season. We have a tough schedule on pape. Alot of teams that are just good enough to beat us if we make too many mistakes. i think theres only 2-4 gimme games depending on how good you think the Saints will be (other two are San Fran and NYJ). But regardless of that, i as excited about Panthers football as i did after we beat the Packers at home in 2015 (that was the moment that season i knew we were going places).

Nice article. So interested how we run our offense. Most of us wanted to get rid of the read option but with our new picks I don't believe it's going anywhere. Would we really start to go towards a spread type offense in the NFL? Would that work? Kind of feels gimmicky unless we go towards a NE short passing and crossing routes up tempo offense which I would like
