Byrd definitely had a good night but I'm still a little bit skeptical just because he was never consistently productive even in college. That's not to say he can't be productive in the pros, but I do need to see a little more before I jump on the bandwagon.

Nice analysis and great column. I feel tit worth commenting on how nice that pocket was on the second TD. Webb had the guy in his face at the end but plenty of time to sit back and fire that pass, exactly the type of blocking that plays to the strengths of a guy like Byrd. Hope he can keep it up.

I'll also point out Taylor Moton stone-walled his guy. Think he may be giving Williams a run for his money if he keeps this play up.

You get a hard time around here from some posters for not being as objective as they would like, but I tend to be overly optimistic about the Panthers too and it doesn't bother me. Thanks. The hard thing about being "objective" this year is that we actually have a ton of talent. I'd love to be able to point out negatives, but they're so few and far between.

The General Observations thread should be good for an objective look at a few people. But really, I'd let anyone else take up the challenge of finding a ton of negatives on some players on this team I've covered. You won't find much.
