Sick of the Favre lovefest

He's not giving the critics any ammo tonight.

I feel for Packer fans. Can't imagine how we'd feel if DeAngelo Williams went to the Falcons specifically for the purpose of running over us (and then did).

His play is irrelevant to me.

Only his EXISTENCE matters.

He could throw for 500 yards a game, and I wouldn't care about this fool who can't just walk away and stay away.

This guy is worse than Michael Jordan.

I'm as tired of Favre as anybody.

Buuuut...objectively speaking, he is one of the best of all time and has earned a lot of the praise he's getting. They showed a blurb saying that if the Vikings win tonight, he'll become the only QB ever to beat all 32 teams. Like him or not, that's pretty impressive.

Yes, he's an egotist. Most of the players in the NFL are to some level. And yes, the networks slobber over him to a sickening degree. But let's be honest. He does have an impressive record.

it's not that i hate him and i want him to retire, but the whole media obsession with him just gets out of hand.

if he played all these seasons without his annual retirements in between it wouldn't aggravate me so much.

Actually it would make more sense is if Brett stayed in the league and Jake retired.

Brett is still a top 10 QB at age 39. Jake never came close in his best days.

Not the best of all time. You think he would trade those records for Montana's rings or Bradshaw's rings or Airman's rings.... Records get broken, rings are forever.

Im not trying to argue over Brett favre..I honestly have gotten sicker and sicker of his antics..just saying that hes in my top 5...

(he does have a ring tho)

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
