Having a "spirited" discussion over on EXTREMESKINS (aka: LOSERVILLE)

I'm having a "spirited" discussion over on EXTREMESKINS, here is an excerpt that I thought my fellow huddlers might enjoy:

Well clearly you're an expert on all things Charlotte and you're the ultimate authority on Panthers fans. I've been here and around Panthers fans since 95 (been a Panthers fan since 95) and I can tell you that you're full of crap. I remember the 1-15 season, Panthers fans including myself didn't desert them then and we haven't deserted them now. I don't know what kinda Panthers fans you're hanging out with - but considering you're a NC guy who still roots for the Redskins and not your home team I guess you attract those kinds of folks. Say what you want in response, I don't care - you're a Redskins fan living in Panthers country so I can understand why you have so much animosity towards the Panthers and their fans.

You say you don't have anything against Peppers and then call him a bum? Doesn't matter, Peppers "the bum" is still better than any DE the Skins have fielded in a long time, so be careful throwing stones from that glass house you're in. My team has existed for 15 years and in that time the Redskins have been irrelevant - that's the only real comparison that can be made. Talk about past glory all you want, it doesn't amount to a hill of beans now - the Redskins are one step above the Raiders in being the laughing stock of the NFL and that's PATHETIC.

I'll come back to this board after we whip your ass on Sunday and I'll be looking for you so you can tell me how great the Skins are again. There's one major difference between the Panthers and the Skins: the Panthers are a good team playing badly, the Skins are a bad team playing badly. This is the perfect get well game for us against a lame duck opponent who thinks they've accomplished something by beating the Rams and Bucs by a total of 5 points... LOL!

Our fans suck, Peppers is a bum, Fox is an idiot and we're still gonna beat you... that must really hurt. Maybe there's another big FA signing you can make in the off season to try and buy a Lombardi trophy? The Redskins are the Yankees of the NFL, the only difference is the Yankees actually win championships.

"With Delhomme starting for the Panters, Rogers might set a record for dropped INT's in one game."

I feel bad but I laughed when I read this.

"Okay, so you've decided Panthers fans are horrible - I'm sure that's a totally objective opinion. I've decided Redskins fans smell bad and dress funny."

"I'd rather have an owner who gets a little ahead of himself trying to rally the fans than an owner that sues unemployed fans for season tickets."

and this.

I'm only halfway through but I'm enjoying it.

dude you're really bad at this. peppers is garbage and the skins faced the giants who have osi and tuck. quit while you're ahead ok

Dude, I don't care what you think. Peppers may be garbage but he's still 10x better than anything the Skins have had at DE for a long time, and that's the point... a Skins fan has no business criticizing Peppers.

To start with, that idiot (Bubble Screen) you are talking to is a complete idiot and this is coming from another Redskins fan. It's funny how he's ranting about Panther fans being "obnoxious" and "not smart", yet he's purely talking out of his ass and labeling a whole group based off his .000000000001% of panther fans he's met.

He's a moron. Plain and simple and it's why Redskins' fans look stupid.

What's the point of this thread? To share with us your experience there? It's not going to help your cause any.

I just wouldn't go to their board. I don't like it when they come to this one and post about their team, so I don't go to their board and do the same.

i don't like the idea of talking trash until we have at least shown that we can win games this year. right now we have no room to talk about anything.

I'm talking a little trash out of the confidence I have in our team. I'd rather error on the side of confidence.

Thanks, it's good to hear an unbiased opinion from a Skins fan. I'm sure that at the root of it all is a guy who lives in NC, roots for the Skins and feels bad about it.

Like I said, I spent the first 22 years of my life rooting for the Skins and there will always be a part of me that wants to see them suceed... things didn't get rolling until this idiot came out and started calling Panthers fans stupid, obnoxious and unfaithful.

    • I hope Bryce balls out. Wouldn't bet the farm on it though. Morgan has to be practical though. He was placed into a situation where he was compelled to give Bryce a long look. There really haven't been any more practical options due to who has been available at the position. The Panthers had already put their chips in with Bryce, so putting more chips in by borrowing against the future and stacking on that by borrowing against the future without really having the requisite draft capital was a nonstarter. We could either dump Bryce and go dumpster diving for known and unknown JAGs at the position, or take out chances and let it play out with Bryce and hope for acceptable returns. Due to what looks like some good moves in the draft and free agency, it appears like we're finally getting into a position where we can take a swing again if need be without destroying the core of the team. I understand that you'll believe it when you see it, but Dan is gonna move on if Bryce can't cut it. There are too many professionals lives and careers tied to Bryce to simply accept the status quo.
    • Football is the ultimate team sport. No sport is more dependent on others for your success - including coaching. I don't know if Bryce is the guy, but I do know this has been a very bad team all around since he got here. One of the worst o-lines and coaching staffs I've ever seen his rookie year. One of the worst defenses and receiving groups (including TEs) I've ever seen his 2nd season - with a rookie HC and OC. An improving WR group his 3rd season mostly due to a rookie. The only other WR of note didn't really play well until after the 10th game of the season due to injury. Still no receiving TE to speak of. And lost games because of the worst pass rush in the NFL. And the only speed he's ever had on the field was DJ Chark. A washed up DJ Chark that played here one year and has had 31 yards receiving since leaving.  Carolina had no business moving up for a QB in 2023. They weren't ready. Especially if it meant trading your only good WR to do it. Now finally there's potential on defense. Potential on o-line. Potential at WR, including some actual speed in a game where speed kills. If BY falls on his face this season, then he has to own it. Situation may not be perfect, but it's at least NFL average across the board. I won't beat him up for being bad in bad situations on a bad team. But a 4th year QB has to be able to control the offense and make players/coaches right. The team looks good enough on paper to show what he can do now.
