Any anime watchers in here? I'm curious what new or old shows people are watching.

I watch..im pretty late to the party on Attack on Titian but so far i'm liking it.

Finished One Punch Man and enjoyed it

Honestly i cant get into attack on titan because there is no hope for people on that show lol. I love one punch man but i like the sub more then the dub. Which is weird because im usually pro dub on most anime

Netflix has a solid selection of anime. My favorites include:

Fate/stay night

Fate/zero

magi series including adventures of sinbad

Havent seen any of the FATE series, and didnt get into magi. fairy tale was ok along with seven deadly sins.

The best anime out right now is Konosuba.

You clearly dont watch anime, Akira was great for its day, and is still good, but there has been plenty since then to come out that is Pretty good.

 

For the new to anime crowed must watch series:

1. Cowboy Bebop - is hands down probably the best Anime of all time, if you havent watched this, you know nothing.

2. Ghost in a Shell SAC season 1 - Season 2 is good, but season 1 is on a different level altogether.

3. Full Metal Alchemist -  the original not brotherhood, which was more lighthearted and had a happy ending.  the original pulls at your emotions and is much darker.

4. Mushi-shi - this one is very unique, hard to explain without watching it, but its pretty awesome series.

5. Samuri Champloo - From the same people that brought you cowboy bebop this one is also simply fantastic top to bottom.

Honorable mentions:

Fooly Cooly - stranger than strange but soo awesome

Trigun - would love a remake of this, the second best scifi western to Cowboy bebop.

Code Geass - very unique and good.

Tokyo Ghoul - the best new anime out there. attack on titan is boring and overrated.

Kill La Kill - strangest anime I've ever watched but soo soo good!

Gurren Lagann - the same people who brought us Kill La Kill still a lot of fun.

None of those are any good. Evangelion was okay.

Akira still stands as the bar for anime 30 years later.

Pokemon and DBZ ruined anime the way white people ruin music.

Also, I'd put Princess Mononoke over anything on that list. And Ninja Scroll. And Vampire Hunter D.

2 years ago I very reluctantly watched Hunter X hunter

 

 

im the biggest mark in the world for it now. HIGHLY recommended.
