PSC is not a newb and knows the below info.  This is for the rest of you.

 

Smitty was drafted in 01, Moose was drafted in 96, Jake was a FA acquisition.

I see a lot of people argue if Hurndog og G-man was the better drafter. Personaly I think the latter was the better drafter, but it is not the drafting skills that worries me the most - It is the CAP management skills that Hurney clearly doesn't posses. Seems like alot of people already forgot the mess he made before he left, and it baffles me how people can still defend him, after what he did.

Yeah it's not just one thing you can point to and hope that he fixed it. It's several issues he had as a GM. He traded away too many high draft picks to even be considered anything but the worst draft manager in the history of the Carolina Panthers.  Throw in his issues with handing out candy coated contracts...just every major decision he's ever made he's either been throwing poo against a wall and got lucky, or poo the bed with the worst timing possible.  Anyone that can defend him has to be a family member, or legally retarded, or both.

At this point I am going to hope for the best and focus on pulling for the Panthers to beat the Falcons Sunday.

The anger, negativity, and even hate on this board has gotten so bad.  I am going to try to be a glass half full person. It feels better.  I am not going to get upset about something that may or may not happen.

I wish I could be as optimistic as you.  I feel like my heart has been ripped from my chest by all of this.   I just can't sit by a let my favorite team be run into the ground, again, by an old fart and an idiot puppet GM.  And don't get me started in Ron an Shula.  I feel like these bastards just killed my dog.  I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore.  I've bit my tongue for many years but not anymore.
