Good Lord, he was supposed to play some special teams and be the 6th option behind Olsen, KB, Funchess, CMC, and Samuel. You generally don't sign all-pros to be the sixth look. Things will look a lot different when Olsen starts running those seam routes again.

Our options at the second receiver don't really look to bright at this point.

I can't argue against that point.  But just because you have the arm strength doesn't mean you should be throwing passes like that.  In fact, the point you made about a lot of Cam's INT's being caused by poor receiving/route knowledge is precisely why he shouldn't be throwing risky passes like that. 

If the play is completely busted, just throw it away.  Especially in the red zone.....it sucks bad enough when we should punch it in for 6 and end up kicking a FG for only 3.....only thing worse is coming away with nothing due to a red zone turnover.

Can't argue with that.  Samuel injury is bad given we traded a huge target and Olsen is hurt.

But how many other teams' 4th or 5th options can you name off the top of your head?  How common is it for the 4th or 5th receiver to get more than a couple hundred yards in a season?  What GM is signing studs to be 4th or 5th on the depth chart and play special teams?

To me, the sample size is still too small to label him garbage - but what do I know.

Great Qbs and wrs make those kind of plays all the time. Wilson has made a living off of them. It was a great play by Cam if Shepard does his job as a wr and come to the ball instead of waiting its possibly a catch. Cam threw it low just for the purpose for him to comeback to the ball. It was a good thing bc it would have been intercepted...i have watched several interceptions over the years caused by wr not attacking the ball just standing there waiting for the ball to come to them...I think they forget that defenders are playing for the ball too.
