Hypothetical: Hue Jackson

Understood.

You remember that other guy we had who was good at his job but had a prickly personality though, right?

Added more on the original post with a scenario like that in mind as well.

Unless it’s absolutely clear Hue Jackson is affecting players play on the field and our locker room in a negative way, I’d love to give him a shot. As I said earlier, I believe an OC should be proficient in his work more-so than his personality, where-as a head coach should be the one with all the quality character traits working in harmony.

If we're talking strictly about schematic questions regarding Jackson, yeah I think he'd be successful.

The man knows offense. I doubt anyone would deny that.

Your hypothetical would never happen, not with this organization.  But, it sounds nice.

If you mean because Shula's not going anywhere, quite possibly not.

If he did though, remember Jackson has interviewed once here already.

I've always been under the impression that Sac is around college age.

To me though, it's less about age than work experience.

If you've been out in the work world for a while, chances are you've had to work with somebody you don't like.

It can really, really suck, which is why I don't think this is as easy a question as it might seem.

I was asking because his level of exaggeration is that of a teenager.

By who? Rum?

Just trying to stir the pot don’t mind me.

But as far as the actual question, yeah I’d be very open to having Hue as OC. With that said, I’m pretty open to just about anyone as long as they don’t have the last name Shula or Dorsey

Even if Jackson has the personality of a cactus?

It would be the perfect fit if Rivera could give up that control. Let's not forget CHUD had a huge ego.

With a guy like Jackson, Rivera would pretty much have to give up control for it to work.

And therein lies the question: Would he? Could he?

I get ya.

What's your take on the question?

I wanted Hue when we interviewed him after the 2012 season. He’d be perfect for Cam. He’d push Cam and wouldn’t be afraid to call him out and motivate him. Hue is a dickhead but he’s also a very smart offensive coach.

I would hope Rivera would be open to new ideas but history shows us that he just goes for the status quo. Hue is not the status quo.
