For the sake of argument

We will still be in the WC but will be tied with Atlanta 6/7 regardless of what else happens.

We certainly cold use help from Jacksonville against Seattle to force a three way tie and giving us one other team to fight with.  Also would prefer GB and to a lesser extent Detroit to lose.  If either win then they will be within one game of us.  We have the tiebreaker over Detroit but in GB case they could beat us next week to force a tie and they would have the h2h.

If we lose today we are still in the wildcard no matter what else happens. Falcons the only other team with 5 losses and we hold the tiebreaker. Even if the Seahawks lose and it’s a 3-way tie, we’d actually become the 5 seed.

A win today would help a lot. It would essentially give us a 2 game lead with 3 games left.

If we lose today playoffs are very unlikely.

We could lose to the Vikings and win out and that’s guaranteed playoffs. And not all that unlikely of a scenario. Vikings are the #1 seed right now and very good. The next 3 teams aren’t even close to them.

But regardless, let’s win today.

    • I agree but he honestly has gotten better about this. Used to be he’d do it like 4-5 times a game, now it’s like 2-3. Overall I’m incredibly happy with his game, his D has been solid and when he is playing his role he’s a solid scorer and one of the few guys who can consistently finish at the rim and provide that threat. Plus he’s electric and LaMelo loves him. Going into the season I was sure he would just be a stop gap here but now I’m reconsidering and could see him continue to be a “core” piece here. Obviously not on the level of the other starters but he is an important cog for this team. We felt his missed presence during his and Moose’s suspensions.
    • Philly will be a bigger challenge than the Knicks were IMO. George and Embiid are back, not sure about Maxey but Embiid alone is a nightmare matchup for us and Moose. We’ve never really done well against him. Celtics added Tatum but honestly not sure they’re all that much better with him right now than they were when we whooped them a few weeks ago. We should be able to at the very least split these 2, hopefully take both.
