 Gman is the front-runner to be the Gm for the giants,  that has been said before I know, but apparently, Wilks is one of his top candidates for head coach.   Who do we go to if it all plays out this way?

well that was more speculation than sure thing in terms of wilks being a top candidate. sig says they aren't on good terms, which makes sense considering how dave dealt with norman.

but the part about gettleman to ny is right.

I don't see why so many think Gettleman to NY is such a fantastic pairing when you look at it long term from the perspective of the Giants.

The Giants have been pretty up and down the last 5 years. The stellar defenses they've steamrolled over that division with are gone. Gettleman is only going to bring more of the same old school defense heavy mindset and approach. To a degree that's a good thing of course, because that is clearly his forte, but that also has it's pitfalls pertaining to other areas of the roster as we know here.

The Giants are also going to desperately need a QB at some point soon. Gettleman isn't inheriting Cam Newton.

Besides, I honestly chuckle thinking about Dave Gettleman dealing with Odell Beckham Jr if he couldn't handle Josh Norman or Steve Smith.

I have a feeling the Giants don't wind up hiring DG. They probably want a guy who they think will be around for a long time. And DG doesn't have a ton of time left as a GM if he were to get a job again.

Even though Gettleman seems like a logical choice this argument makes a lot of sense. I could see G coming in drafting a QB then telling Eli to take a pay cut or get the fug out.

This is a good QB draft and they will be drafting high so they will take a QB to replace Eli, whether it's to start immediately or to sit is irrelevant.
