Dan Henning > Jeff Davidson

Henning was burned out when he left. He didnt even coach the next two years right? Sometimes time off helps people. Then again Davidson didnt do very well till they got him a new Oline as well. Remember our Zone blocking project the first year?

You make a good point. I wonder how the schedules compared last year?

Both teams had easy schedules, the difference was pretty minimal.

Not sure what it looks like when you put in the numbers on how teams finished in 2008 but if you compare the two you can see it's pretty close.

Henning's last year here his offensive starting field position went down 10 yards per possession difference than the year before. And he loses his job. He was given a bigger hurdle to score and it's held against him.

I wish he was still here.

    • There was some pretty egregious missed calls vs the Chiefs in the Lions game, especially Kelce. The completion where he clearly used the ground to catch the ball. The hold in front of the ref as Pacheco ran by where the defender was trying to turn around and couldnt because Kelce had him by the jersey. Mahomes openly taunting after scoring a TD. 0 penalties after double digit the week before. Cmon.
    • People get trade happy and look at resources as barter items. They fail to see them as resources to be used to our benefit rather than someone else's. Right now, Chuba and Rico are massive benefits to us and a strong rushing attack so greatly benefits any passer, much less a young one like Bryce still is.  And the better our running game, the more our offense can eat up the clock, the less time our defense is on the field. And that is priceless, too. Don't mess with the running game. Don't mess with the receivers. Maybe look at our O-line and think we may have hit on something good during these injuries. Look at our D-line and seem some strength evolving there. Our secondary has its good spots and some that are still developing. Our linebacking corps did well this last outing. Our special teams are on a major upswing as of this past week. Heck, even our QB is showing us a little something right now that we can build on. Perhaps putting out a yard sale sign right now might be less advantageous than looking at the team and saying, "You are all part of something good that is happening. We want to see that continue to grow."
