I don’t think he is gone or Norwell.

Panthers foundation on offense & defense is the interior part of the line and they will  keep these 2 while cutting ties with other veterans.

cuts:

Fozzy

Gano

Johnson

J-Stew

Adams

And lemme guess, we need to draft another tight end and run more two tight end sets, right?

All of us nobodies posting on chat boards about what a sports team must or must not, should or should not with absolutely no say so or expertise to say so is also “pointless” and probably a waste of lives and productivity,..

but gee, ain’t it fun sometimes or at least a parenthesis in our days?

cheer up

Not trying to be uncheerful. Some scenarios/sets of speculation are just not in line with known events/realities and, IMO, there's nothing wrong with pointing that out either.

That said I do hope that Hurney has learned something in his years away and can perform in a way that helps the team get better. As it applies to this topic I'd like to retain Star but if his price is too high then I think Norwell is the more important piece and I hope Hurney is able to make a decision that is best for the team not clouded by Carolina-colored glasses as (for whatever reason) he's done many times in the past.

Football is reality?

Makes me think of that movie where someone said “wrestling is fake” and the dude went berserk “wrestling’s not fake” and beat everyone up.

what if the past is about and dumb as what if for the future when we have no clue or control to make anything happen—

but here we are,... on a message board,...

whether we keep star norwell, trade Cam Newton for the Browns entire draft pick list the next 2 years, or what would have happen if cars drive themselves completely and self drive becomes illegal—

we have fun debating, throwing poo, beers,..

hey there should be iPhone X style choices.

eggs but egg splats.

poo— like poo splat all over the screen.

beer gets dilly dilly everywhere

the D I’m not going there. Maybe a big jar of Vaseline appears?

HA

Afraid he's probably gone.  Giants or cardinals wouldn't be a surprise either.

And yes, Lotulelei doesn't get enough credit for what he does.

He's an excellent run stuffer but teams will overpay for him. Hurney (hopefully) will not give him the $50 million dollar deal that other teams will offer.

    • Sounds like the pressure of all the fans wanting him fired might finally be getting to him... That, or Rico said "trade me now if you aren't going to make me the lead back"
    • I have been paying so little attention after losses (and wins, actually, because I'm mildly excited by them), that I missed Dave's seeming change of heart on Rico and Chuba.  Just when I criticized him for not being able to make the tough decisions and wanting to be Mr. Politically Correct nice guy, when asked about the timeshare between Chuba and Rico, he says:   "We cannot ignore the fact that Rico has been exceptional in a couple of games and in the opportunities he's had over the last two weeks. He's made some excellent plays, love the tempo and violence that he's running with. And these are all things we're talking about and working through this week as we look back on these last four games and really taking a snapshot of what's been successful for us. These are conversations that we do definitely have to have."   On basically whether or not it was his job to keep the RBs "happy," DC replied:   "Yeah, that's not the goal," he replied. "The goal is to make sure we put the right guys out there. That's my job. So I really do have to look at that and evaluate it and make the best decision for the Panthers, collectively. And for me, I have to make sure I keep it about the football."   So now all of a sudden, he knows his job. Well, some of you might say that he always knew his job. My response is that he surely wasn't putting it into action. You watch what people do, not what they say. And that even applies here. We'll actually see if his actions match the words of his newfound epiphany pertaining to our two top RBs., something that we saw a couple of weeks ago (or at least a week ago).    https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/10/27/panthers-week-8-dave-canales-rico-dowdle-chuba-hubbard/86923984007/
    • Just about everyone I have ever seen that was a first time HC, mostly successful coordinators, said there was stuff they couldn’t have imagined.  Canales only had one season as a coordinator. A steep learning curve should be expected. Help in the form of a mentor would have been a good idea.
