Like what I hear.  Have heard Raye before.  He knows what he's talking about.

I'm really hoping the Panthers do the right thing and give him the job. 

Don't have a lot of faith that will happen, but I can dream.

Nice write-up. At least the Panthers are putting in a good effort to make it seem as if they are actually conducting a legitimate search. They're even going as far to satisfy the Rooney rule.

Let's be real it doesn't matter who gets the job now. The new owner will likely pick his own guy anyway. I know if I'm shelling out billions I better get a team that represents my wants and ideas. Unless the GM and Ron win a Superbowl next year then they won't have a job after this season. Maybe playoffs but I doubt it.

Assuming the new owner isn't a Richardson crony who agrees to just keep running the team per Jerry's wishes.

Unfortunately, that's a real.possibility.

Not really considering the league has to approve them. I doubt they'd approve a crony over the highest bid. I think JR wants a promise not to move and the most moolah he can get.
