And DBs are a strange animal. A guy has a great year, 5-6 picks, couple of highlight reel-worthy pass defenses, maybe a corner blitz sack or 2 and the next thing you know, everyone is talking about how a QB will never again throw to his side.

Richard Sherman is a classic case in point. He had phenomenal back-to-back 2012 and 2013 seasons. Since then? Not so much. His short route coverage is good, but will get toasted on the deep ball without help. Plays well in the middle of the field, but out routes and RB wheel routes get the best of him when he has to come up on the LOS.

Please stop lying about Richard Sherman.

Couple years? He was excellent the entire first run with the Jets until he got hurt. That’s was 5 great years and then a lost year. He was mediocre with Tampa for a year, his first one back and then had another great year winning the SB with NE. He made the pro-bowl the next year with the Jets but wasn’t as good (still had 5 INTs). The last two years have been terrible but he had 6 great, top of the line years not just a couple and two OK years. His demise wasn’t as fast as you think. His first truly bad year was his 10th year in the league and this year is his 12th and he isn’t worth signing. He was bad last year as well and isn’t getting better.

Who can tell, time gets hard to distinguish when you get older lol. Thanks

    • Carolina Way is gone, it went out the window with the Belichick hiring. They'll hire the best coach they can, ignoring everything else if possible.    Athletic reports that the school's top two targets are Tommy Lloyd and Billy Donovan. They don't care the buyout for a coach either, they and the boosters are willing to spend and will be going outside of the coaching family tree 100%.
    • I don't think it's a homer though when I really feel this team can beat anyone.  The points that can be scored in bunches when the big three are on has high potential.  Moose has effort for days and IMO is the heart of the team.  And didn't see Miles becoming the team "vet" in the starting lineup just roleplaying lol.   We have to limit the turnovers though (Brandon Miller I'm looking at you bud, you are a bad ball handler) and some little things.   Colby off the bench is a cheat code and him and Kaulk have a nice little game going with the picks.    Sion playing every game and just getting better each game.  He has grit.  Grant and Green also grit.  We need replace Tillman with PJ Hall though.  Tillman looks like someone that shouldn't be on an NBA court, or at least with this team, he's just too slow for this tempo.   Even McNeely looked decent tonight and can drive.   If Kaulk and Moose could even be like 30% 3pt shooters man....
