which way dt/qb?

I was noticing that with alot of underclassmen that should come out that alot of good prospects at both positions will be available. The thing is with no 1st at the moment which way do we go with our first pick. Prime example the kid from nebraska, gerald mcoy, the kid from syracuse, orderick, and my sleeper vince oghabaase from duke will flood the dt market(all dts 6'4 and over). A guy like oghabaase is a good guy who we could get with a 3rd rd pick but would have been 1st rd talent last year(11 sacks in two years at 6'5 305 and over 20 tfl)! Then you add in the qb depth with guys like pike, mccoy, lefaveour, hiller, The Golden Calf of Bristol, skelton and you have alot of qbs to choose from in rnd 2 and three. My assumption is fox is gone, we get a conditional pick for losing some free agents(hangman, mark jones, and the guard that went to chicago) and we are sitting with a high 2nd, and two thirds. With peps not coming back do we take a chance on a guy like quinn or Cambell and draft a dt first or go after seymour and draft a qb first. The new powers to be will definately have some options to think about.

The only reason is because this year it became media coverage that we need a qb and dt. Just the whole fact that it became more obvious makes it seem it has to be fixed in order to avoid complete rebuild mode!

We have one of the youngest teams in the League. Fixing two positions doesn't exactly fit the "rebuilding mode" criteria.

Yes we have one of the youngest teams but with a couple of years of bad drafting and foxs stubborn ways we have avoided the main key which is qb. My point is that every team has a window and alot revolves on keeping the qb situation straight along with dline and oline. We have went nowhere on the dline since loosing buckner be honest. If we had tried to either develop early talent Haye instead of keeping someone just because of loyalty we wouldn't be in this poo. When Drew brees was up and down in san diego they got rivers and when brees left they haven't missed a beat. It is something that can't be overlooked. They have attempted with david carr and sniffing around losman and quinn but they should have went full force.

Why in the world would anyone speculate on who the Panthers will draft?

watching college football drinking beer makes you a professional scout. Didn't you know?

Prospects this time of year, especially if you're focusing on one because Brent Musburger is talking about him every other play, are at best a crapshoot. Half of the draftables are guys no one's heard of. Most drafted players have stock that will rise and fall plenty of times between now and April. "We should do "x" in the second"? No one knows what will be available in the second.

Watch. Someone this week will suggest we really must have Golden Tate.

    • I have more faith in XL improving than I do in Tmac being a true number 1 recuever
    • Round 1. TMac arguably the best WR in the draft Round 2. Scour ton mentioned as a possible 1st round edge.     Texas A&M did not use him the same way Purdue did. After the 2023 season he was listed as a first round grade. I believe had Texas A&M used him like they did at Purdue he never makes it out of round 1. Round 3 Princely Umanmielen, we'll go by Princely.  Another highly graded player we got in a lower round. As the video suggests, even if he plays only on passing down it's a positive. Give him a couple of years to develop a he could be a three down player.  Round 4a Etienne IMO a huge upgrade over Blackshear. I can see him in a similar role as CMC without the heavy workload. He can run in between the tackles and has some shifty moves. Give Canales some flexibility. A fellow huddler pointed out UGA running backs don't see the field if they cannot pick up the blitz. Really good pick. Round 4b Ransom a hard hitting safety that has played three different positions on defense. Great pick Round 5a Cam Jackson a massive NT in round 5. I believe a solid rotational pick in a lower round. We added a beast that could make offenses quiver when he's lined up with Brown. Great Value  Round 5b Evans This is another player that can block and has good hands. He also had better seasons before 2024. As a rookie he's probably leaps and bounds better than Ian Thomas. I think he gives us a three headed monster at TE.  Round 6 Horn Jr. Many believe he's just going to be a KR/PR player. I believe there are going to be packages for him to get on the field as a WR. His speed with TMac and Thielen in the slot could be special. I'm really looking forward to seeing him in training camp. I've watched some film and he is very explosive.  Overall I love our picks. I honestly believe all of them will contribute this season. I don't believe we reached on one player in this draft.  This weekend we get a small look at these rookies
