You are the single worst poster I've seen on here in years. There is also no doubt in my mind that you never coached a down of football in your life.

This was from a short time back.  He claimed to know that Tepper was already out, then Kestenbaum and the guy he claimed to be the fourth bidder was the last competition for Navarro.

On 4/13/2018 at 3:38 PM, RetiredCollegeCoach said:

Ironically, not through football (frankly most of my connections at this point are old farts like me or not germane) but through golf!

Long story short, Navarro - a man I had never heard of before this process - is apparently the guy. Kestenbaum was out shortly after Tepper (though kept on the string), and Black was the last "competitor" to Navarro. But again, was more or less a foregone conclusion at a certain point.

(FYI: He posted conflicting stories about how he obtained that info as well)

Now, only the day before, he had posted this...

On 4/12/2018 at 7:28 PM, RetiredCollegeCoach said:

Any ambiguity left the building a week ago or more. Navarro has won already. (And the fourth bidder, Leon Black, has also been de facto removed from consideration.)

So on the 12th, Number Four was already out, but on the 13th, he was the "last competitor".

He affirmed the new version of events again later that day.

On 4/13/2018 at 4:39 PM, RetiredCollegeCoach said:

AFAIK Goodnight is not involved except in a "friend of the team"/advisory capacity, which is what he's been for ages. If he were a bidder he would be known by now. Excepting Sabates, the Utah guy, and Rubin, there have been a grand total of four serious bids. Tepper out first, then Kestenbaum, then Black, leaving Navarro. Again, regardless of the details, which I believe I have down correctly but wouldn't bet my life on, this has been sealed for Navarro for a while. I don't claim any special knowledge of the guy - again, I had literally never heard of him before all this - but he will own the team.

So at this point, he was again insisting that Tepper was out first and it was down to Navarro and Number Four.

Of course, we got word from Joe Person that the fourth bidder had only just dropped out - and was, in fact, the first major bidder to do so - on the 13th while Tepper and Kestenbaum were still in (Link: Ownership bidders back down to three)

That directly contradicted his more recent batch of "inside information", and if you check, you'll notice he never posted in that thread.

Oops :)

Similar story here, where he said he has "no idea how Richardson feels about it"...

On 4/13/2018 at 3:44 PM, RetiredCollegeCoach said:

Not a bad write-up but two weeks out of date. For anyone seeking more information, see my post in the other thread. Navarro has won. Tepper was first out. Leon Black is (really was) #4. No clue how Richardson feels about any of it.

...despite having written this a little earlier in the same thread.

On 4/13/2018 at 12:25 PM, RetiredCollegeCoach said:

I'm told Navarro has de facto won. Tepper has been playing games that rubbed "Mister" the wrong way (as did Tepper himself) and was (again de facto) ruled out first. By the time it was down to Kestenbaum, Bidder #4 (I have named him in another thread), and Navarro, Navarro was far enough out ahead that it was mostly a question of how much rather than of who.

So the order of bidders dropping out changes again, and he directly contradicts himself about Richardson.

I mean you'd think you'd be able to keep track of what lie you told just three hours ago in the same thread.

So yeah, he's full of s--t, and apparently can't even seem to keep his phony stories straight :)

I'll throw in this exchange from the Gantt thread that shows our "Coach" is pissed off that more people aren't taking him seriously and giving him the kind of attention he desires.

On 4/13/2018 at 3:57 PM, RetiredCollegeCoach said:

Not sure why grown men are still arguing in this thread about something which has been known for some time for anyone who cared to ask. Navarro is the owner. Tepper has been out since around the beginning of this month.

You can know right now if you pull your head up out of the sand and quit relying on your polite and uninformed internet "friends". The answer is f*cking well known.

Like, "I Am Number Four" was a cute joke two weeks ago. Anybody who's actually bothering to look into this themselves - f*ck, ask your bartender - knows who it is. I can read what Darin Gantt says on the internet already without this guy starting a thread.

The more folks appear to ignore you, the saltier you become. Kinda ironic coming from someone who complains endlessly about how your "Son" is treated.

Shouldn't a good coach lead by example. Maybe that's why you are "Retired". Because you seem to have forgotten that one.

On 4/13/2018 at 4:11 PM, RetiredCollegeCoach said:

The list of reasons I retired is as long as your arm. If you have a long f*cking arm. Am I "salty" about being ignored? Not as such...it's more that it's weird as hell to see people keep speculating about stuff that everyone - who cares to know - already knows. I have stated some pretty basic stuff repeatedly, yet people keep elaborately pondering mysteries that are very much solved. This is not deep insider sh*t, either. It's "I know a guy who knows a guy who f*cked a girl who knows a guy" sh*t.

It's like it's 1999 and you're walking out of the sixth sense next to two people having a really involved conversation about, you know, whether or not the kid can see dead people. I thought that was...already resolved?

On 4/13/2018 at 4:23 PM, iamhubby1 said:

Soooo...You aren't salty because folks are ignoring you. You are salty because folks aren't listening to you about this all already being "Resolved"? I know I ain't got me no PHD and all. But...are not those two things the same?

No offense, but I would think most folks are just going to wait until we get some sore of Official Announcement before we decide it is "Resolved".

His final post to Hubby was a nice rant about me and how he'd be vindicated when the final story actually came out.

On 4/13/2018 at 4:28 PM, RetiredCollegeCoach said:

I mean, I guess they're the same? I'm obviously a real salty dog, a real salt shaker, a regular pillar of salt, whatever the phrase is.

But when the official announcement comes and confirms not just what I said, but also the details of what I said, go ahead and remember that Mr. Scot is a complete internet-genius know-nothing who didn't even have access to basic information that anyone who knows anyone in the Carolinas already knew.

My question though, given the noted contradictions, which version of his story is the one that will be vindicated?

Won't lie: I got a pretty good laugh out of all this :)

No doubt lmao.... People say that crap over seemingly every thing. “If we draft this player who burned me in college I’ll have to seriously consider changing teams”

If that’s ever really a real thought pattern you could have, I somehow doubt you were a fan to begin with.

Marguide and I don't always agree, but he's an intelligent poster.

The weird thing is that you've actually put together a fairly good summary of what's going on - you just aren't aware of it. For clarity:

1.) The posts that you are claiming are contradictory are...not at all contradictory. At the time both posts were made, all three losing bidders were out. Bidder #4, who most people are aware is Leon Black at this point, was the last to be out - from what I have been told.

2.) Joe Person is incorrect. I frequently wonder why he is so consistently wrong when he should have better sources than any of us, but that is a matter for another thread.

3.) The bit about "rubbing Mister the wrong way" is my surmise, based on what I have been told and reading between the lines. I have no clue whatsoever about how JR feels about any of this. I have never met the man, nor do I wish to. I admit that my surmise may be incorrect, but it makes sense given what I was told on that front.

Exactly the reaction I expected :)

Person might not be perfect, but I'll still take a guy with actual inside sources over random internet guy who pretends to be something he isn't (including pretending to be his own son) in the hopes that people will pay attention to him.

I Am Hubby pretty much had you nailed.

We are all 100% confident you haven't been told anything and you are wrong, Mr. Scot has clearly pointed out how you have contradicted yourself.

It looks like we're going to have to wait for confirmation of details. (I expect you to completely ignore that when it happens, of course, but, well, small men play small games.) A year from now - or whatever - you'll have the customary "in depth" piece detailing the sausage-making process, and you'll see some specifics in there that might jog your memory a bit. Oh...and, of course, Ben Navarro will be named as owner and the last few weeks will be known as the charade that they were.

As for your continuing attempts to pretend that I'm not a real person - I'm an "alt" and my whole life is a lie and even my family is a mind-control experiment by the Illuminati, et cetera ad infinitum - I will now and forever take the high road. I've read that the best way to deal with a conspiracy theorist is to never get dragged into the details and to confront them more obliquely, so I will take that tack.

I understand that I've created some of this problem for myself by simultaneously drawing on my professional experience and "arguing from authority" while remaining pointedly anonymous (though at least one person has already sniffed out my identity), but there's very solid reasons for that. I can tell you that a stalker is hard to shake.

It doesn't take a conspiracy theory dude. You're not that important.

All it actually takes is the ability to spot a phony and smell bulls--t.

And no, nobody has "sniffed out your identity" because 1) nobody believes you and 2) nobody gives a rat's ass.

Who cares, you mind numbing idiotic egotist?  I hope everything you said is true.  That's exactly the way I hope it plays out, but to rant and rave because people are still discussing the situation after YOU have spoken is beyond moronic.

Who made you a moderator or a Panther organization spokesman?  No one.

If only you knew, even you would probably have a laugh. Jesus, internet football fans are weird.

I'm already having a laugh, several of them, in fact.

Quick Tip: A guy who actually had accomplished the things that you claim to have done wouldn't be so insecure about whether people believed him or took him more seriously than someone else.

Point Blank: The fact that it matters so much to you whether people think you're a big deal is it pretty clear sign that you're not.
