We needed Moore so bad and now we finally look competent.

We may roll with 6..maybe 5.  I think people are definitely undervaluing what Wright brings.

The best news: This pretty much assured Shepard is gonnnnnnne

The Panthers gave Byrd a basic 1 year no frills contract.

They gave Wright 2 million up front.

Money talks way louder than what coach speak they have at press conferences.

Byrd’s skillset imo has been made much less valuable with the additions of Moore and Smith. When Samuel comes back that will be 3 guys (one acquired in trade and two in rounds 1-2) that are burners. Byrd sadly is done with the Panthers. Wright as had been mentioned was paid up front, provides a valuable vet presence, and is going to be a precision route runner with good hands ala Cotchery.

Go ask Vikings fans how valuable Wright was on third down.

This team needs a reliable set of hands for those third and seven plays. Wright gives them that.

Lol ask a fan base, if he was so good he would have been starting by now.

We already have third down guys in Olsen and Mccaffrey

    • What people fail to understand is Lance had a college career that lasted about as long as teenage boys first intercourse.  To say he was raw was an understatement.  So much so that even a QB whisperer had a difficult time molding him into a polished NFL product on top of multiple nagging injuries.  The dud is in his mid-twenties, finally healthy and little miles on the tread.  Low risk, high reward.  If he's available, it would be stupid not to kick the tires.  It took Darnold and Mayfield to hit their 3rd or 4th team for things to finally click.  This is Lance's 3rd stop, I believe.  It's either time for it to click for him or be relegated to a full time backup. Roll the dice....
    • Wrong.  At least we put a QB sneak in the play book and and add plays over 20 yards.
    • I don’t know if people realize that Evan’s was one of the top TE prospects in college  before having some horrible injuries. I wanna say he had two major injuries in back to back seasons which limited his play and dropped his draft stock.
