Don't "poo" the OP's topic...there is a correlation.  It will play an impact on another front, our front 4 is older with "adequate" backups...TD is another year older and probably a little slower (it happens when you get older)...our secondary is meh (that's being nice).  If we start to air it out and create plays that happen quicker from the line of scrimmage it points to scoring more quickly and possibly giving the ball back to the opposing team quicker.  The defense won't have as much rest and TOP could be a factor.

Granted the offense is better this year with more weapons around Cam but we might have to score 30-40 points a game to win.  Which we can do.

check Rivera's defense under Chud. 

Rivera is a marginal head coach.  Rivera knows defense.  Doesn't matter the makeup or the scheme.  His track record in the NFL is consistent on D

I’d normally agree with you but there were times last year while we were blitzing every down just to get pressure that or LBs were left in no man’s land.

got be able to adapt.  which means some seasons you got to do stuff that you generally don't prefer to get the job done. 

I'm not much of a huge Ron fan at this point as a HC.   I think we know his ceiling and faults at this point.  But Ron will fix what is wrong with his D scheme from one season to the next.  I think that is pretty well proven IMO.  I never overly worry year to year about D.

Our defence was 18th in 2012.
