same basic size....

Do we realize that the top 5 rushers of all time were about cmc size ie Smith Sanders Martin Payton and Gore so what’s the big deal about his size? It’s more about elusiveness etc

He’s shifty and quick but I don’t know if He will ever have that skill of planting and exploding upfield leaving people behind.

With all due respect, I disagree. If you watch his big run against the Saints in the playoffs, that should answer your questions on him leaving people behind.

I think he certainly can be very explosive. Just needs a better OC tbh.

To be fair, it was a couple backup LBs.

I still think he’s a really good player. I just don’t see the “holy crap he’s fast” type break away speed which is fine. He’s still very productive and he’s gonna be a huge part of the O

    • This is perspective and I think Canales’ dad was a shrink. His description of this lack of urgency which we see is ‘cold blooded’. Not excited just surgical.  Also, the 1 of 11 while a smart way to go, is also a pretty big smoke job probably intended to take pressure off of the QB., But which is it? I don’t think we were looking at cold blooded killer last year. Maybe he can kill something, but he is up against a lot. I am going to have to defend him somewhat on the leadership though because it was his first season and his play was not strong enough for him to start putting people on notice or any talk at all. And his voice... and he looks like a kid. It would probably hurt him more than help him in to be rah rah in that situation. Just grind.
    • Yeah man I don't see the big deal. I played football we develop a brotherhood and I was coached to never quit on your teammates no matter how bad the situation is.   I think CMC is a good person. My issue was with him milking injuries because we were in a bad situation. I can never respect that as a competitor especially from my own teammate.   Some people may disagree that's fine.
    • I'm sure he's devastated that you don't like him and think he's soft. I do agree that I've responded to you way too much.
