Tepper flew in to meet with players

I can’t see JR leaving a league vote of this kind to fly straight to a meeting with the players.

I wasn't the biggest Tepper fan before but have liked every word and action. Impressed and a fan now.

Tepper has no official authority right now.  But given that he's going to have full authority as of July (yet to see an actual date, assuming the 1st) I'd guess if he wanted to do something or talk to someone on whatever topic, it'd be wise not to piss him off.

It'd probably make sense for Tepper to use the next  five and a half weeks to get to know as many of the team's players and personnel as he can so that he can hit the ground running when he officially takes over.  Per his own words, not expecting him to move quickly but being prepared is never a bad thing.
