Peter King on the Panthers investigation

Mr. Scot

I have a hard time feeling like a person who accepted payment to keep their mouth shut, deserves any respect. Or can be trusted.

If there really was something really bad going on, aren't they allowing it to continue by remaining silent? thereby causing others to be hurt?  This thing stinks in more than one place.

Ask a woman who's been victimized.

It becomes a lot easier to understand if you see what all too often happens to someone who accuses a rich and powerful abuser. They get their entire lives put on display and ripped to pieces for all the world to see. And a lot of the time, it's all for nothing.

If someone I cared about had to face this sort of situation, I'd definitely want justice. But more than anything else, I'd want what's best for them.

It's an extremely imperfect world.

Doesn't need a bump from me.  You feed your anti JR threads like an unemployed wet nurse.

It’s also sad that there’s a small group that still clings to the idea of defending a man who’s instilled a pretty bad culture towards women in the Panthers workplace. Sure, he founded the Panthers, but he’s been a pretty sorry person in the private sector and that’s nothing to defend. Scot’s providing good content allowing us to see the behind the scenes.

Of course, you using an analogy that also demeans certain women negatively as wet nurse objects is not surprising given your attempts at attacking Scot and insinuating defense towards JR’s actions.

Such are the annoying trolls on this forum.

Scot’s providing good content

So doing another cut and paste of an article so he can grind his very narrow bladed ax some more is good content?  I don't think so.  It does nothing but further bad feelings toward the Panthers and stir the pot on this forum.

And I had no idea that wet nurses were demeaning of women.  They were actually pretty damn essential in our society in the not too distant past and some are even calling for a modern renaissance of the practice .  Boobs providing sustenance are not of the devil, that is their primary evolutionary function.  Of course comparing someone or anyone to aunt bee scot is an insult in its own right and for that I do apologise to those lactating members of the huddle.

Like I said. Sure will be nice when we can get back to football again.

Probably depends on how the season goes. Also may depend somewhat on what other stories come out.

I'd expect all the Richardson stuff to be out of sight, out of mind by next year, though.

    • Just another 1st round QB that never paid off for the team that drafted them or traded for them. It's been like this since the SB began. 36 QBs have now won the SB & only 13 of them have been 1st rounders winning with their original team. Namath 1968, Griese 1972, Bradshaw 1974, McMahon 1985, Simms 1986, Aikman 1992, Elway 1997, Roethlisberger 2005, P.Manning 2006, E.Manning 2007, Rodgers 2010, Flacco 2012, & Mahomes 2019. Only 3 have taken longer than 5 seasons as the starter to win a SB.  4  6  5  4  6  4  15  2  9  4  3  5  2 [the years it takes for these 1st round QBs] 5  1  4  1  3  1  1  2  3  4  [10 of the 36 have won a chip with their 1st team that haven't been drafted in the 1st round. These are the years it took them as a starter] What stands out? Only 2 of these QBs have lost their first championship appearance. Elway took 4 years as a 1st rounder & Hurts took 2 years as a 2nd rounder. Of the 10 non-1st round QBs, 2 are 2nd rounders, 3 are 3rd rounders, 5 are 6th rounders or later. Please stop wasting time on drafting 1st round QBs with such a high failure rate. The remaining 13 QBs are traded or free agent signings. Stafford, Favre, Young, Williams and Dawson are the 5 trades. Peyton Manning & Tom Brady also won for teams as free agents on a short stay as well as being drafted. The lesson here is don't waste your franchise on farming up 1st rounders for the league, and steer clear of trading for a franchise QB. Stick to finding that championship QB by drafting them outside of the 1st round or through free agency.
    • I lost most of the respect I had for Fox in 2010. He should have resigned if he hated the job that much. Instead he stuck for his paycheck and let stuff go to hell.    I burned out on Ron too but my deal breaker issue with him was away from football and after he was gone from the Panthers. He may have been out of his depth but never quit on us.
    • From where they were one year ago to now, pretty incredible. I mean, say what you want about Vrabel he is no Jerrod Mayo.
