Am I crazy...a 2nd round pick for our BACKUP QB?  Jimmy G, the hottest potential starter in the streets, went for a 2nd from SF's high draft stock. If we wanted one that bad, we'd have drafted one.

We have people wanting to give up a 2nd round pick for a backup QB who's leg basically exploded a couple years ago. Wut.

Just saying if you can get a starting level QB with a second rounder (probably the last pick of the round) I say you do it.  And he is 25.  Be good biz IMO.  Drafting a QB is a crap shoot bigtime.

I say this knowing I did not believe in Bridgewater when he was drafted but he is pretty accurate and an amazing character guy.

It would be just about the dumbest thing we could possibly do. Yay, we would get to carry a $5.5M cap hit for a backup QB on a one year contract. There would be literally no long-term upside in that deal for us and it would take virtually every dime of our available cap space to do it.

Trading a 2nd round pick and carrying a $5.5M dollar cap hit for a backup QB on a one year contract who is going to walk away in free agency next year might be even dumber than "ignoring" someone while continuing to quote their posts.
