Torrey Smith: "If that hit was on any other QB but Cam that fine would’ve been a trillion dollars"

Very appreciative of the veteran locker room presence and socially aware leadership that Torrey brings. He has had some issues it seems getting in sync with Cam, but the second half they seemed to click.

Cam clearly trusts CMC & Olsen. If second half of the ATL game is a sign, then he is beginning to trust DJ and Torrey. Hopefully that's the case. I'm passed the Funchess as a #1/#2. Would prefer to see Samuel come back work into the spot opposite of Moore.

His actual point isn't about the fine structure or what anybody else would have actually been fined.  It's about the fact that the fine for pushing a guy in defense of a teammate, causing him to fall down is treated equally to a hit that could, and has, caused a player to miss a game or even a season, and potentially have significant long-term health effects.

Basically, he was saying that equal punishment for unequal crimes is illogical and does not jive with the leagues supposed stance on player safety.
