Yeah, Norv is an awesome play caller. That entire drive that ended with the CJ Anderson TD was all Norv, when he gets the running backs going watch the fug out.

I would say too that 99.9% of our offensive plays today had someone in motion even if it was a small step up or over, as examples, from CMC or Ian Thomas or Armah. And it seemed to confuse the Bengals pretty well.

Brian Billick had a great breakdown of this after week 1 against the Cowboys and I'm always expecting it. Like today, constantly having Moore as a decoy in the backfield. Was waiting for it to go to him when it was least expected, but it never happened.

Throwing to McCaffrey 15 times last week, and only once (?) today really had to screw with the Bengals gameplan.

Norv has also been great at calling plays for a line that is riddled with injuries. Cam is getting the ball out and the line is winning by misdirection. Not huge splash plays but dink and dunk that gets in the redzone.

It makes the Shula dark ages even more frustrating.

I love how they are using Armah for run blocking, not as a traditional FB lead blocker but hitting the hole and blocking from an angle from the H-back position.  Then, while Armah is across, CMC takes the hand-off, does a little hop-skip, then hits whatever hole/gap has developed.

How many games was Armah active or utilized last season?
