How crucial is tomorrow’s game? Panthers made the playoffs 100% of the time when starting 4-1 or better

We definitely want a win but if we are going to use historical data to try to predict what will happen, that data also says that if we dont go 5 and 0 we lose in the divisional round.  Stats like most of us know can be used in many different ways.   That being said, KB fan you are great at giving us the information and I have really appreciated it!  I'm definitely a pessimist when it comes to the Panthers as you can tell by what I just posted but the work you put in is exceptional.

I knew someone would comment on that!

(It's more like, unless we go 5-0 we won't make it to the Superbowl, but point taken!)

Of course, looking at the history is just for fun and to show trends.

Stats are NOT deterministic. We could go 6-1, have Matt Kalil return, Cam gets killed and we end up 6-10...

Or we could lose a bunch, wind up 3-5 and then go on a massive "Ron wants to save his job" end of season tear, win 8 straight, and plow through the playoffs as the hottest team in the league...

Winning vs Washington today should bode well. It puts us in good position towards a winning season and the playoffs. But still a lot of football ahead!

    • And remind y’all that Rico Dowdle ran the ball 7 times on Monday.
    • I didn't want to pay him and they should have traded him before the 20+ million in dead cap. I feel this is another "blame tepper", he wanted a QB and Panthers only had 4 draft picks. CMC got a bad health report and missed games, but league still valued him and he was the best player on the team. Shitttttterererererererer traded him for 4 future picks, the future 2nd ended up being 61st........so all the other draft picks in 5th 4th were next to last, just a mistake. Yes 49ers at the time looked cook, but CMC helped them reach the SB. Used that 2nd and 3rd in the BY and DJ Johnson trades.....just awful returns. It was dirty to wilks to trade CMC while he was trying to make the playoffs, best I member the run game got better after the trade....   Im just one of those "never pay RB, safety, or MLBs" unless cheap/all world. CMC is not all world, but he's dang close.  Poorly handle, he bought a big home and thought he'd remain a career panther....Herniay made him the 16 million man, tops by 4 full million and no RB passed that mark for 2 years, God dam fug you herniay.  Im anti-RB, but about the last thing they should have done was trade a 1000 1000 threat that wanted to stay here, just total fumble by the Panthers/tepper/herniay/fittterererererererere per normal for this time-line.
