Cam's trade value

Well right now until Cam comes back we need a starting QB. Fitz or Kap might be reasonable for caretakers.

the fact is we need a solution that’s viable—

all people can do is sit, bitch,  bash everyone else’s solutions to make themselves look cool,.. but it’s ridiculous.

whats your solution? The draft sucks for QB this year.

trading Cam is a 2nd rounder at best with his uncertainty. Once he’s had surgery and looks to return that will change but then why would we trade a HoF quarterback once he’s viable to return?

we have to have a starter for the time being— Fitz, Kap, Foles...that’s a short list.

How about maybe fuging chilling the fug out and wait until the offseason? What solution even fuging matters for this season? There is no "solution" right now. We buckle in to get our teeth kicked in for two more weeks, see what the fug we decide to do with the front office, see what the fug we decide to do with the coaches, see what the fug is available in the draft and see what the fug is available in free agency.

Rinse, repeat, on to next year....Jesus. How is this hard? HOW? We only do it EVERY. FRIGGIN. YEAR.

There is so much uncertainty from top to bottom we aren't even sure who is going to be attempting these "solutions." I can tell you one group that won't. A bunch of fuging keyboard warriors on a fuging message board.

Teddy B is scheduled to be a free agent in 2019. I'd add him to your list.

Edit: outside of that, its not pretty. McNown, Osweiler, McCoy, Barkley. O wee man.

Osweiler is an option. He had his moments in Denver and Miami too, not sure what his deal is— can look really decent and then not.

yeh,... Kap, Fitz,.. Oz the great and powerful,

outside of that I’m not sure.

trade for Brissett maybe

Yeah, maybe because there aren't a lot of them. But trading Cam or trying to carry two $20+ million QB's sure as hell aren't solutions. Neither is signing Kaepernick. He sucks.

Teddy B is my least favorite of the bunch— McCoy just broke his leg so I doubt he’s back,..

Barkley— yuck- we better with our Heinz ketsup

Indy would be nuts to trade away Brissett while he is in his rookie deal unless it is for a serious price. It would be nice to have him, though.

Indy has a deal with Brissett much the same as NE had with Garappolo,..

someone will trade a 2nd rounder or more for him. Might be us actually.

This sucks— we really need to use those draft picks on offensive line. Left tackle and center.

Eh. We don't know what they want. They may really not be interested in trading him at all until they see Luck put 2 seasons together on that repaired shoulder.

Draft picks are at a premium but we need to address the QB situation if Cam is indeed not going to be healthly moving forward. And, lets be clear about that, we don't know that at the moment. But if he is NOT healthly, QB shoots immediately to #1 on our list of priorities.

There are no Desean Watson’s in this draft— don’t want.

get a caretaker FA like Fitz or something.

The free agent pool is about as paltry as the draft class pool is. I think we are really left just hoping Cam somehow gets healthy. The other options are pretty scary. And I can give you a scarier possible scenario. Daryl Williams gone, Ryan Kalil gone and then some FA or rookie having to deal with that kind of OL. People who think Cam is bad under pressure might get to see a special kind of train wreck.

Right— so I’m on the oline draft— left tackle because we have the best draft pick since Star,..

then Center,.. then a swing guard/tackle.

we also need a downfield receiver like a TY Hilton or similar.

Samuel is a running back, too fragile to play all the time, characterizes by the types of plays he’s in. Moore and Wright are our only 2 viable wide receivers — Torrey just come back— he’s a winner(people hate but we win with him playing)

im on the draft Oline and speedy wide receiver kick—

sign a caretaker like Fitz or Osweiler.

if we trade Cam,... then hook up with Jacksonville ha.

Our draft pick is likely to be in the 10-14 range. I am a big believer in BPA, so I don't think reaching for a guy out of position in the draft is a wise move. Let the draft come to you, unless you see a "can't miss" opportunity afford itself in a trade. Would prefer that Hurney doesn't do that, given previous history.

The OL situation could go in a lot of directions. If we resign Daryl Williams, and opt to go with Larsen as a Kalil replacement, then we are probably only looking for depth or potential future guys to groom as starters. If we do not sign Williams and do not think Larsen is the guy, now we may be looking as many as three new starters, which is going to be extremely difficult to deal with. LT immediately becomes a priority unless they opt to move Moton over but an OT will be needed regardless. Chris Clark has been great as a "couch FA" that was signed mid-season but I would love to see him as a backup OT and not a starter.

WR is fine. Moore looks like he could be a guy, as does Samuel. Wright is a good one to keep around. He is pretty dependable and reasonably priced. If anything, pick up a FA or grab a guy that is BPA in the draft. I don't view WR as an area of much concern.

Trading Cam would be extremely unwise, IMO, unless he has some serious debilitating injury that is being kept top secret. Grabbing a journeyman to accompany him would be a wise idea. I do not have any idea how we ended up in a situation where we as a franchise thought Heinicke was an adequate backup QB.
