    Rivera said that Newton was more accepting of decision because of the frustration of feeling his shoulder get sore out on the field and watching what happens because of that.

Christian McCaffrey said he came into the league super uptight and making sure he was treating being in the NFL like a job. But playing with Cam Newton, he said, brought him back to the love he had for the game when he was seven years old. Try not to get emotional about that.

Ryan Kalil: I know it has been a tough decision, because Cam would feel like he’s letting his team down. Adds that it’s a smart decision, however, because Cam is a young guy with a lot of football left.
