You could make a strong argument that if we had Brown, those 5 narrow losses we had would have been wins if we had Brown

People bitch about a 7 game losing streak and bitch as if we are so, so far away as a team from being good ... after the Steelers loss we had 5 consecutive losses that were losses by a sliver

You could argue that that's the last issue the team had.

The problems was a passing game restricted by a shoulder injury and a defense that was completely terrible on 3rd down and giving up big plays.

Brown would not have helped either.

A baseless supposition.

I can't make the argument, but if you would like to take a crack at it, by all means, do so. But I doubt it would be strong.

You could make a better argument that the Steelers should have won more games this year and made the playoffs. In fact, they could have made the playoffs if Brown didn't implode before the last game of the season.

ETA - and how many Super Bowls have the Steelers won with Brown?

I know a lot of folks are enamored with the idea of Newton throwing to Brown. Pointed out elsewhere that a lot of people thought McNabb to Owens was a sure fire hit too.

Owens being crazy kind of short-circuited it. If you don't see the parallels here, you're not paying attention.

I'd add that with Newton's shoulder being a problem, you could conceivably wind up signing Brown but not having Newton healthy enough to throw to him. Then what?

Given that his own teammates have turned on him, that's just not a good sign.

The Steelers well oiled machine that some call the best run franchise sure has some squeaky wheels.

As a lifelong Steelers fan, I’ve been trying to tell people this for awhile now. Really take a look at those drafts. How many high draft picks for a still subpar secondary?

I just have a question. Do you believe we would have lost the Detroit game with an established #1 WR ?

I believe we lost a lot more games this year because of a pitiful pass rush than we did poor receiver play.

Antonio Brown, in the game versus the Saints, was the reason JuJu even had a chance to fumble the game away though.

Brown made a spectacular, spectacular, sideline catch on 4th down ... if Ben didnt have Brown that game was over before JuJu even would have a chance to fumble the game away ..

Cam and AB have similar personalities which is why I think they get along so good and why people here seem to hate the idea of bringing AB in ..

Really?  Antonio Brown is a selfish prick, are you suggesting Cam is the same?

I certainly have not seen that side of Cam but maybe I'm not paying close enough attention...

The passing game was on fire that game.

357 yards

68% completion

3 tds

DJ Moore had a monster game.

How could you watch that game and think that WR is the thing that would make the difference in that game?

Yeah, and Dion Sanders was too ..

The greatest players are selfish and all about them, Cam is no different, deal with it and enjoy having a player that's so good they can act like that.

It's spelled Deion.....

.....so you're really putting Cam Newton in the same boat with the completely unstable and selfish dolt Antonio Brown?

That seems way off base

One of the greatest of all time aaaand one of the greatest of all time ... what is so off base about putting two of the greatest of all time in the same boat?

Because the boat youre putting them in is named 'Selfish Me Me Me'

You really don't understand the problems/issues that come with Antonio Brown's unstable mental state?

You really think it's appropriate to foist that sort of disruption into an already fragile situation?

I wouldn't say it's a fragile state ...

I'd say we're an Antonio Brown away from being a 12 win team

I'm sure we'll see that Cam and AB are hanging out again sometime this offseason. I think Hurney will see Brown is the missing piece and work something out for him.

You really believe that?

Deep down, you really believe Marty, Hurney, will bring the t-o-x-i-c Antonio, Brown, to Charlotte, NC, to play for the Carolina Panthers?

Yes.

Isn't it about time we did something great for Cam? Don't tell me giving him a glorified check down option or a rookie WR is doing something great for him.

I believe you will be proven wrong and the selfish one (Antonio, not Cam) will not play here.

Still find it hard to believe you would lump Cam in with a selfish prick like Antonio Brown.

What's to prevent Antonio from flipping out in practice and hurling footballs at Cam and stalking out of practice like the whiny b*tch he is and totally disrupting the already fragile chemistry of our team?

Still can't believe you are willing to foist a mentally unstable guy like that onto the rest of our team --- why?
