Your base D with the front seven has little to do with your coverage sheme. You can run man or zone equally effective with either front.

In fact, last year the four teams that played the highest percentages of man defense all run a base 3-4.

McCoy was considered the best DT in football before Aaron Donald came along. He is only 30, so I think he has plenty enough left in the tank. The only problem is a signing like this likely means Williams is gone.

McCoy would be a huge upgrade over what we have but I don't think that we can afford him. O line and a backup QB is gonna cost something.
