Hell I am too, but the REAL REASON we lost this game is NOT JAKE DELHOMME.

Not that I am taking up for his retarded play, and inability to be who he once was, but this loss is not his fault.

This loss is on 2 people; JEFF DAVIDSON & JOHN FOX

There is no damn reason you throw 45 times against the leagues WORST RUN DEFENSE.

DeAngelo Williams averaged 5.5 ypc

We lost this game because OF PISS POOR PLAY CALLING.

While I think the gameplan was flawed, I suspect that the ratio would have been quite different if Jake hadn't thrown his 2 INTs that lead to scores. Also keep in mind, after Smith's barking, the Panthers probably had to keep him feeling like he was contributing by throwing to him... even when he was covered well. =\

Don't forget John Kasay. Were we up 8-7 like we should have been, I don't think we would have put the ball in Delhomme's hands as much as we did. We might also have taken the three points later in the game instead of trying and failing to convert on fourth down.

I never blame any one player alone, but those missed field goals were critical, even if they were just six points.

Nothing wrong with the playcalling, on Jake's 2 INTs a good pass that was actually on target would have resulted in a 20+ yard gain. But Jake, as usual, threw the ball too high and long to an open receiver down the middle of the field and the result was two picks which set up the Buffalo offense inside the redzone.

We passed that much because we were trailing and not in a good position to be running the ball as much.. Though, we still could have ran a bit more and passed less. And to not put a good deal of that on Jake is questionable, since helped greatly to put us in that situation.

One- DUH-- everyone WATCHED Jake lose the game for us, but the fact is he should HAVE NEVER been in that situation.

Our poor gameplan screwed us from the start

So your saying that we shouldn't have to rely on Jake to make any kind of plays at all?

What kind of QB is that? That's not a good QB, that's not even a game manager. Oddly enough Jake is neither of those things. So yea I guess your right Jake shouldn't have been in that situation because the rest of the team must play perfect football for Jake to succeed. That's crap man this game is 70% Jake's fault.

Ok yall say the play calling suck. The plays they called, if Jake completed those passes maybe we wouldn't have lost. They call the plays, the players execute it to the best of their ability. Jake had time to complete them and blew it

DUH- everyone knows Jake cant do it anymore, so why rely on him?

With Double Trouble there is no damn reason we shouldnt have run 200+ on them.

    • Darrell Jackson would be a fantastic pickup for us, I think he could replace 80% of what A’Shawn gave us last year. With more passing rush upside going forward in the future, I’m a big proponent of large framed defensive tackles. Pairing Derrick Brown with another 6’5 35inch arm length DT would be so fun to watch. Let’s continue being huge in the middle, allow our linebackers to flow to the ball uninterrupted.
    • Fully agree that the best thing to do is ignore them, which takes a away their thrill of thinking they got to you.
    • I agree with you on the pick of Thienemen in the first. I think he will still be there and he's a smart, fast and sturdy player. He's who we need back there. In the second, I like Rodriguez over Golday. I agree that off the ball linebackers are desperately needed here, even with our great FA pick up. I think with our third pick, we're going to dip into OT territory instead of the D-line. While I agree that we need another disruptor at the point of attack that is stout enough to just stonewall a center and a guard at the same time, we've got a shaky and expensive O-line at the present that is just about to age out of the game. I think we snag Blake Miller out of Clemson here and give him a year behind Moton to learn and put some weight and strength on. He can also jump right in and play right guard at any time. Also, and this might sound crazy, but anyone who has put up with multiple seasons at Clemson will be able to take the heat and humidity of training camp at the start of the season and early games against the NFCSouth.  Beyond that, your guess is as good as mine. We do need that QB for competition and realistically to study for back-up. Luke Altmyer out of Illinois seems to fit the mold of the point guard type QB that they want from Bryce. That'd make an apples to apples situation that could make coaching and game planning easy. On the other hand North Dakota State's Cole Payton could be an intriguing choice as well as a big dual threat guy. Both could be there for our fourth pick or both could be gone. Will QBs continue to slide this season like last? Who knows?
