The threshold is back up to 96 points which means the Canes will likely need to go 14-8 to gain a playoff spot.

Maybe it's just me but I didn't see McGinn even touch Tony DeAngelo on that tripping call.

John and Tripp said as much in the broadcast. Basically, stick discipline.  Can't give the refs a chance to make that call because they will.

Missed the game because I coach a high school soccer team and they had practice today but I saw that Williams took one off the face then came back and had the gwg, good stuff.

We also got some help from the Sharks.

Yeah what's nice is the BJs and the Pens play very soon. The BJs are a point behind but they've played 2 less games....they have Ottawa next then Pitt. I'm assuming they take care of Ottawa so it's important we put our next two in the win column.

Another big win tonight for the Canes. They cant ne perfect but what a 2019 so far. Habs better start looking over their shoulder.

We keep winning but so does everyone else and after the moves that Columbus has made I don't see them dropping out, I hope that Montreal starts to falter.

Regardless of how the season turns out I am proud of the fight this team has shown.

only a few points back of Washington and still play them a few times, still have games against bj and Pitt as well. With the upcoming schedule its gonna be tough but they control their destiny. Which is very refreshing after the last few years.

Holy crap! I posted my comment while watching Philly get beat 3-1 in the Stadium Series against Pittsburgh but Philly just came back to win 4-3 in OT and because the Canes have more ROW's they are now ahead of Pittsburgh in the standings with the same amount of games played!

Huge day for us. The big shutout win (unfortunately I missed it as I was on a plane) and the PIT and Montreal chokejobs along with Caps loss. Only blemish was CBJ and PIT getting a loser point, but whatever still a big day. CBJ looks like they'll easily get a top 3 spot in the metro after their trades to go all in this year so we gotta get past Pens and/or Canadiens (or even Caps). We'll see what happens at the deadline but I actually really like this group and think we should stand pat. We can make the playoffs for sure without making a trade and there doesn't seem to be any clear moves that would help us both now and in the future.

Well, we kind of did get a trade even though he was already on the roster in Jordan Stall. He played very well last night, brought a sense of energy. Also, let's hold off the poo talking about Faulk for a minute. He's played very well the past few games.
