#2 Run & #32 Pass Defense...

...is what we get to see in the desert next week. What do we do with that? I will not bring up Delhomme's atrocities or Davidson's short coming or Fox's lack of _____, er, not bring them up anymore.. But seriously, we had one of the worst run defenses yesterday and we didnt run the ball. Next week, them boys are all about stopping the run, but are supposedly susceptible to the pass, but we all know what we have as a passer. D.Will & Stewart are supposed to be our bread and butter, our moneyshot if you will. Get them 2 rolling and we should be money, but we dont. Should I plan on gettin' sh_tfaced before the game starts and just check the score on Monday? I mean it wont be so painful to watch if Im passed out...I still have a little faith this team can do something, but I am really trying to figure out what...:mad2:

if they don't bench Jake and he gets to go full circle with Arizona, it will definetly be the end of the Delhomme era in Charlotte(if he plays and has 2 plus INT"s vs. Az). All the highlights from that pathetic Playoff game last year will be played to remind everyone.

How many INT's does Jake have since the Az playoff game? 18? He could easily go over 20 if he starts next week vs. them.

our wildcat sucks. did you see it yesterday? couldn't gain 3 yards for a first down.

Facetious remark is facetious.

Seriously though, I would be happier to see the Wildcat all game assuming that they practiced it all week.

You are right though that one play where we did run the Wildcat was pitiful... likely because we do the exact same thing every time and we do not practice it.

    • If we lose tomorrow we’d have to sweep the Bucs in order to get into the playoffs. With a loss tomorrow the Bucs would then hold the tie breaker if we finished tied If we can’t split with NO then we sure as hell not sweeping Tampa It’s win or go home tomorrow in my eyes  Biggest game since 2017 playoff game imo
    • Grok AI: No, there are no credible reports that the Carolina Hurricanes offered Jake Guentzel the same contract terms as Tampa Bay (7 years, $63 million total, $9 million AAV) before he signed with the Lightning. Reliable sources, including The Athletic, consistently reported that Carolina’s offer during negotiations was an eight-year deal worth $64 million ($8 million AAV). Guentzel did not accept it promptly, leading the Hurricanes to trade his negotiating rights to Tampa Bay on June 30, 2024, for a 2025 third-round pick. He then quickly signed the 7x$9M deal with the Lightning on July 1, 2024. Guentzel himself later reflected (in 2025 interviews) that staying in Carolina was his initial preference, but negotiations stalled and “didn’t work out,” with Tampa’s opportunity becoming a “no-brainer.” No reports from outlets like ESPN, NHL.com, or insiders (e.g., Elliotte Friedman, Pierre LeBrun, Frank Seravalli) indicate Carolina ever matched or offered the Lightning’s exact terms—total money, AAV, or length. The extra year was Carolina’s key advantage, but they reportedly stuck closer to $8M AAV and moved on when Guentzel explored options.
