Elway: Broncos had 'big concerns' about Matt Paradis' ankle

Agreed.

Say what you will about Dan Henning, but back in 03 he saw what was happening and altered the entire game plan at halftime.

Shula? Not so much.

Yeah, I have no problem watching the Panthers vs. Patriots Super Bowl.  It was an exciting contest with great plays on both sides of the ball.  I was proud of our players and coaches taking it down to the wire.  Still wish Fox didn't start going for two points so soon though.

On the other hand the Panthers vs. Broncos game was there for the taking and a better coaching staff should have been able to exploit Denver's aggressive style of play.  When Ron and company failed to counter by the beginning of the second half I realized we were once again in the "Cam Save Me!" mode.

You can tell that the few outspoken Dave Gettleman defenders left here lowkey really want this signing to be a failure lol.

Elway's track record as Broncos GM is getting uglier by the minute. He got incredibly lucky that Von Miller pulled off his best Lawrence Taylor impression and was able to put the entire team on his back in SB50. Peyton Manning was borderline horrendous and spent the whole game throwing duck after duck, so much so that even draft bust and current free agent Kony Ealy briefly looked like a stud who might win it for us. Remember what happened back in 2014 when Peyton Manning, and a shaky Broncos defense met the Seahawks in the Super Bowl? One of the worst Super Bowls in recent memory, everyone just remembers the Falcons blowing a huge lead against the Patriots.

Time will tell how this signing plays out, but I don't blame Paradis whatsoever for wanting to move on from the Broncos and their iffy management.

Paradis was an iron man until getting injured in the 9th game and then missing the rest of last season.  Prior to his injury he had played 3,850 snaps in a row, second longest streak in the league.  Let's hope that ankle gets back to 100%.

The article I read said there could be long term complications following the  injury, but those are based on failure to rehab or some post-surgery infection, etc.  The average recovery  time is 6 weeks.

Without the refs in that game we would have won easily. Elway just got a deal with the NFL wanting to send Manning off on a high note. Any team is successful when you can hit a QB illegally.

The notion that anybody wants this or any other signing to be a failure is ridiculously stupid.

Not believing in Hurney doesn't equal hoping he fails. I certainly want him replaced, but until he is, I'm not going to sit here hoping the Panthers lose.
