How in the hell does every draft prospect thread turn into this dude shitting on Ferrell? Bro, we get it. Just make it your signature so it shows up in every post you make so that hopefully that will avoid the need to derail every damn thread on the forum.

First off pops, slow your roll... if you go back and actually read the thread, I was discussing Rapp and this safety class. You just have a few Clemson super fans sub-zero,heels, and chuck who love to bring that dude up. Why the fug would I bring up someone I clearly don’t like. I just openly have the debate with them when they mention the guy. Reading is fundamental. Don’t just comment when you see my name.

pops...lol is 2 yrs older than you ...

U don’t know anything about me first off.. secondly, my comment was to you it wasn’t a full blown discussion about Ferrell.. your friend sub zero came in here talking about Ferrell. I commented on your first 2 picks. Not a discussion of Ferrell. I just don’t mind the back and forth with people who seem uniformed. I enjoy draft talk so I never shy away from it even if I’m sick of here about him.

I have a dream... that one day people will stop talking about draft PROSPECTS in absolutes. How many years of high 1st round busts and mid-late round All-Pros will it take for people to wake up and realize that there's no such thing as a sure thing in the draft.

I know there are no absolutes and people have their own formulas and theories on how to better project and predict which one hit and which won’t. I myself subscribe to the idea that the higher the athletic percentile the player is in or sparq value the greater advantage he has in any single situation. Thus leading to a greater chance of success.

Does every athlete pan out no.. plenty bust. I don’t think Metcalf is a sure thing... but would I gamble on him at 16.. sure.. his chance of being a impact player are greater based on his advantages in one on one situations. I apply this to all positions, look at cam coming out, all phases of his football ability were questioned, what put him over the top as a number 1 pick? His athletic ability. That ability let him dominate earlier even if he wasn’t the best football player.

All things equal, sure I'll take the better athlete. But that's the thing, all things are never equal.

Well then In that case it comes down to what a person values in a draft pick. You put integrity, heart above athletic ability? I believe all gms and scouts put athletic ability as there number 1 trait and then go down a list. That’s why you see Tavon Austin going top 10, you here d.k Metcalf going top 10 when clearly the production doesn’t match the draft range.

All that other stuff is great but ability is always first. That’s been my point this whole time. Athleticism=upside and what a player could be. People get drafted based on what they could not just their college production.
