Why Matt Moore Isn't Starting Already!

Crown Him! He is a proven winner! 10 games, 3 touchdowns, 6 interceptions, 79.3 yards per game, he is the answer!

Stop focusing on crowning Moore! Start focusing on Jake being a shell of what he once was.

Now realise that if we keep Delhomme in there, the fan base is going to get real ugly. At least let them see with their own eyes how bad Moore is.

Oh, you're counting games where he came in after the game was already unwinnable. Maybe that's why he's only getting 79.3 yards per game. Idiot. You started this thread showing how his stats are shitty. Then you go on saying how stats don't tell the whole picture. Make up your mind.

Look at Delhomme's this year, he's averaging OVER 2 INTs per game. That's him STARTING all of them. FINISHING all of them except for 1. I ask you to pick any 3 games from this year and compare them to Matt Moore in his LIMITED time.

you really aren't getting it.

we KNOW that jake is garbage THIS YEAR.

we want to see what someone else can do THIS year. we want to see what he can do right now. we want to see if in this moment, with 2+ years knowledge of the system and a little more experience what he can do if given a chance.

again, we know what jake is doing this year and it is unacceptable. we don't know what moore can do in this situation. in this year. no one is crowning him. we just wat to see what someone else who isn't hasn't thrown 13 INTs in 6 games can do.

if he isn't the answer then try feeley. if feeley can't do anything then try something else.

there is no reason what so ever why we should continue doing the same thing. 6 games into the season we know it isn't working.

but then i like trying to make things better rather than driving an old favorite car off a cliff.

status quo sucks, especially when your status quo is lucky to be 2-6 and has 13 INTs to 4 TDs.

I think you'll have to put it simpler than that. He's gonna bring up some stats that show nothing but the lack of Matt Moore's playing time to prove you wrong.

Fact is none of us is calling Moore a instant answer QB like Ortan is to Denver right now. But right now Jake since having the worst playoff game ever agaist the cards in the playoffs last year and up to now. Jake has played awful as Russel is for the Raiders. Fans are sick and tired of it. Plus Jake has never been good enough to lead this team to back to back winning seasons like Fox. Jake was a good QB. And was is the main Word. WAS!!. Jake time has come and gone. Jake no longer can preform at a decent level to be considered as a starter any longer. Bringing Moore to give him a shot at been the next Jake type QB is not going to hurt our season anyway. IF we loss 2 max this season. Our playoff chances will pretty much be gone anyway. The way Jake has been playing. It want matter one bit anyway wheather Jake is playing are Matt Moore. And aleast with Moore he gives us a better chance because he would be more accrute and he is also a moblie QB on top of that. So again giving Moore a chance is not going to hurt the panthers anyway. either way Fox knows his Job is gone after the season anyway. So why not just give Moore a chance and make the fans happy.:smash:

Id be tempted to say that Matt Moore obviously isnt very good, because as has been reiterated a magnitude of times, if he was that good he would be starting because of the incredibly poor play of Jd. However, everytime this thought enters my head one name keeps repeating.......

Deshaun Foster.

    • I don't think Dave touches the defense. That might be a mark against him but definitely a huge red flag for evero. He refuses to run anything other than soft zone and when you don't get pressure that's an awful scheme
    • You don't have to convince me. I think not picking up the option should absolutely be firmly on the table but I just do not see Tepper and Morgan doing that for previously stated reasons. Therefore I'm not going to bother entertaining the notion. Just hoping we actually get real viable competition. If that doesn't happen at the minimum then my perception of that is complete and utter professional malpractice.
    • It was absolutely a catch, and I can’t believe how many folks were stating, before the NFL’s apology, that the overturn was the right call.  The ultimate question in this case is this: can a player complete a catch with only one hand? Of course, we all know the answer to that question, and it is an emphatic “Yes.” T-Mac maintained complete control with one hand (believe it was the right) while the other came off when the ball hit the ground. The ball was in the same position in the one hand (watch T-Mac’s fingers in relation to the NFL shield on the ball) after touching the ground as it was when it first went to the ground. Going back to the question above, if one hand can establish control, then there was no need for the other to stay on the ball, so long as the ball doesn’t move in that one hand that stays on it   It blew my mind that they overturned this in the first place. This should not be a “We got it wrong on the replay because there wasn’t clear and convincing evidence.” This should have been, “That was absolutely a catch.”
