Identical tackles today.. Auba for Arsenal and Roberts for Liverpool.  Auba got a straight red card and Roberts got nothing...  not even the fault was called... mind blowing.

Well, one thing is Martin Atkinson is and always has been a horrendous official.

Another is that, if what you say is accurate about Auba, then he was the recipient of a horrible call, because Robert’s challenge was an uncalled-yellow at most.

And Liverpool rolls on. :shades:

Edit: Just saw the replay of the Auba challenge.  “Identical”? Are you serious dude? Auba’s challenge was directly ON the ankle and actually bent the ankle in an unnatural direction.  So, again, “identical”? Seriously?

He got a red for lunge with clits and foot of the ground.  Identical to Roberts.  Where you tackle does not matter.  Roberts could of easily snap his foot in half.

Except for the fact that Roberts didn't impact Moura's ankle, nor did he bend Moura's ankle into an unnatural direction.  On top of the fact that Robertson actually got to the ball first.

Other than that... "identical".

This link starts at the discussion of the Robertson non-called foul with respect to Aubameyang.

The dude is wrong... when Auba began the tackle, Crystal Palace player still had the ball.  He missed the ball by inches.  During the game they compared it to Auba tackle.  It does not matter he got the ball.  You can get a red for the follow thru tackle.  They did not stopped the game or even reviewed it.

OK, bud... lol.

Robertson wasn't TACKLING.  He had already had the ball and was attempting to regain possession of it.  But you keep being you even though professionals who played the game disagree with you.

Robertson had a bad touch  and was in a process of losing possessing.  He knew that so he dove in with cleats showing foot above ground.  Yes, he barely got the ball but you are not allowed to dive in like that.
