To the people who say Moore isnt the answer

Most people here dont think hes a golden knight , but he can not be any worse then the worst starting qb in the Nfl.

Let Moore play seven games and if he does not produce more then 17 turnovers during that stretch he is a better option. no ??

Sincerely,

Matt Moore is our Tom Brady

People keep saying "well he can't be any worse" but the truth is that he absolutely can be worse. But hell, I'd like to see him start just to see what happens and make the games more interesting. I've given up on the playoffs/winning season thing already.

I really do not know that he can be worse, honestly... Not for an extended period, because he'd be benched. Sure, it's possible to be worse than Jake (the Panthers could play me, for instance. :-D)... but I don't think that if someone came in and was WORSE than Jake they'd get much more than a couple games.

And then what? So Jake isn't the answer and then Moore isn't either. So do we go with Feeley, bring Jake back or suffer with Moore the rest of the way. It is widely accepted that when you replace the starter you don't go back to him. Sure Philly did it but just as often it blows up the other way. So you need to be sure you are replacing Jake with an upgrade not just trying something to see what happens. And if you think things can't get worst you are wrong. Just think David Carr.

A loss is a loss, whether your QB is a glove wearing pretty boy or a retarded cajun.

the people who don't think matt moore is the answer are retards. the starting quarterback sucks and causes us to lose, any logical coach is going to put the backup in which in this case is matt moore.

49ers did it and their qb simply wasn't making plays, not turning the ball over all the time

Wow, way to regurgitate things that have been said for a month now!

It is NOT unusual for a QB to come back in after being replaced, especially if it's a long term starter that is expected to do well.

If Moore struggles as badly as Delhomme did, then you will see Jake make a re-appearance... Assuming Delhomme is ever replaced in the first place.

Jake was only replaced with Carr due to injury - he was a downgrade, but that is a different situation.

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
