Their fans are probably already complaining Kamara didn't get chosen.

It’s okay, they’ll be happy to know that at least NFL.com has Kamara ahead of McCaffrey in the MVP race despite fewer rushing yards, fewer YPC, fewer TDs, fewer catches, fewer receiving yards, fewer overall scrimmage yards, more fumbles, and objectively less impact on their overall offense.

So does he continue to play 98% of the offensive snaps or do we give him some breathing room?

Todd Gurley last year should be a cautionary tale to the Panthers.

My bet is Rivera and Norv continue to run him in the ground for the sake of their jobs.

how long has it been since the Panthers have used a second running threat (besides cam which is stupid) in the backfield? 4...5 years?

That logic is way overblown. You don't take the best player on the field off for an extended period of time. Should it be 98%? No but 85-90% of snaps would make sense.

When have we every had a dual threat running back like CMC?

No one said a extended period of time. Everyone including Norv knows he’s overused. Tons of reasons why he shouldn’t be. It’s not the late 90s teams who rely as heavy on one player do not win playoff games or Super Bowls. The teams we’ve played haven’t shut him down but come playoff time I’d guarantee you top tier teams would put all their focus and shut him down. And the Panthers would have zero answer. It’s one dimensional.

No one on an offense other than a QB should be able to get injured and doom the team.

If CMC were to be injured I’d bet money we wouldn’t win a single game.

I am not saying not to work him but he’s being over used right now and without him the offense is worthless.

The offense is only as good as Allen is at this point. The over reliance, which we all agree is hopefully temporary, will hopefully diminish as we can implement a full gameplan and incorporate all aspects of the offense. CMC is there to bail out Allen and give him an option if nothing is down field. We max protect and take Olsen and sometimes CMC out of the play so Allen has the time to find someone.  We have simplified things for Allen and CMC & Wright are his security blankets.
