I want you to imagine something. Imagine we had taken Allen with the third round pick this season instead of Grier.

Now let the season play out as it has and you'd have a third round pick playing undefeated and actively being a part of those victories.

You'd be shouting the praises of the guy, the pick and our future.

The kid has earned some adulation and many, many hurrahs.

yeah but when we saw that we had a qb that couldn't throw.   we had open guys

    You know, I do appreciate the pie. But yeah, I meant when. Cam was slinging the ball around pretty good during OTAs, and TC. No reason not to believe once his ankle heals, he should be good to go.

Explain the logic in drafting a third round QB who's not even good enough to be your backup.

If Allen ends up being a trade asset and we'd rather make him Cam's insurance that's absolutely an indictment on Grier. That was the entire reason he was drafted so high to begin with.
